Romans 16:17-18 New International Version (NIV)I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites.

So Yes , DOCTRINE Does matter . Its those who do contrary to the doctrine or teach contrary to the doctrine
that cause the divisions . Those need to be corrected and if they repent not , put out of the church till they do repent .

They serve the FLESH , sins , their own Bellies , appeitites . They feast not on the words of TRUTH but rather
on doctrine that justifies their own fleshly lusts and appeitites . Yeah . DOCTRINE DO matter .
and sin and false doctrine must be corrected within the church .
Thanks for the scrips rita . wonderful indeed are the words of truth

they get from the Bible depending on the preacher, and so what end up happening is you just keep shifting till you find one that fits your lifestyle, with no real change. Is that what Jesus put forth. We see the most basic elements at the start of Christs ministry...

Matthew 3:2
And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Matthew 4:17
From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

So what is needed?
Yes, Hobie Sound Doctrine Is Essential for Salvation, To Do Exactly What The Lord Has Said And Endure To The End.

Yes, sound doctrine is essential.
Yes it is essential for spiritual growth and maturity but not necessary for Salvation. The sound doctrine - hopefully - follows our spiritual re-birth. But not all of us are intellectually equal so some of us will not understand doctrines, sound or otherwise.

Is this sound doctrine?

Who except Christ has done this?

Just maybe you have a better explanation than what I and Pearl said and these views:

Tried to find a few views of Sound Doctrine, but none better than The Messenger of The Doctrine/Jesus Christ that brought The Doctrine.

Not if a person has faith in God, loving him first, and loving others. You wouldn't need the bible anymore if you are able to do that by and through faith, walking in the spirit, having relationship with the Creator.

I asked a question.

Who except Christ has endured till the end?

Do I need to go to Bing to find your answer?

The Bible is what gives you the information and data to believe in God. Faith comes by hearing (or reading in the Bible) about Jesus Christ. That comes from no other source.

There are lots of doctrines, dozens. But the ESSENTIAL ONE is that Jesus died for our sins and rose on the third day according to the scriptures. Belief in that saves, that's essential, that's the starting point. But wait _ no _ we don't start there. Of course we need to know who Jesus is and what He did in order to get to that point.
So who is Jesus? That's an essential doctrine that comes before that saving doctrine. Then within that doctrine are doctrines about His Big miracle, the creation of the universe, then life itself and then lesser miracles, His parables, the lives of the disciples, the many stories about the change in people's lives, good and evil, angels, the spiritual realm of heaven, hell ... oh boy, so much to sort out! This whole process of God drawing us to Himself, that takes years for some and a lifetime for others, is just filled with doctrines along the way that we have to examine and check off on the way to the BIG ONE. It's a miracle that we made it, a gift (another doctrine)!

The Bible is what gives you the information and data to believe in God. Faith comes by hearing (or reading in the Bible) about Jesus Christ. That comes from no other source.
So does looking at Gods creation, and believing he created it and seeking him in faith. God can write on the hearts and minds of those who follow him in faith. God can speak in a sense to believers by and through the Holy Spirit of God who comes to abide in this who believe.

The bible is great, but you dont need anything from the bible if one chooses to look to God in faith and let Him work on whoever it is.
