“Jesus was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, and he answered, “The kingdom of God will not come with things that can be observed; nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There it is!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.” — Luke 17:20–21

Dear Sister Chloë~ The Kingdom of GOD is With~In i feel is quite literal,,, so to seek the Kingdom & “knock” at the door,,, One must close their eyes and be free of all interpretations of the physical senses (everything that is with out) as Our Divine Creator knows the Heart & Soul of the Dedicated Seeker,,, as we all know that it is easier for a camel to fit through the eye of a needle than it is to enter into The Kingdom of GOD,,, THUS when Jesus comes again,,, ONLY the 144,000 Souls of all that have ever inhabited the earth will be deemed Righteous to enter into HEAVEN and Eternally BE with GOD for Ever~

Yes, kingdom of God is within the individual who has holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians chapter 2 to document.

Isaiah chapter 6 and Romans chapter 11.
Some people have Spirit of slumber, these are spiritually dead.
Ezekiel chapter 37, valley of dry Bones, cross reference.

Peace.

The 'Kingdom' is much more than a location. It is the presence of God, his Spirit active, alive in your life. It is having and living God within you. Living in the new life. Christ possessed the same life and Kingdom living within him on earth. This life and presence was speaking to the Pharisees.

Jesus elaborated in the book of Revelation, and said, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me" (Rev 3:20). In other words, the "door" (Jesus) is within any and all who would believe and hope to hear Him knocking...and open to Him.

Whereabouts in the Qur'an?

Welcome to our Forum.

Blessings.
Sunan Ibn Majah:

Hadith 2799: "The Prophet said: 'In Paradise there is a tree under which a rider could travel for a hundred years in its shade and still not reach the end of it. And there is a branch of it that is lowered to the believers. There will be seventy-two of them, with each one having a maid of honor (houri) and a palace. And the least of the rewards for them will be that they will have a palace of pearls and the size of it will be beyond the reach of the eye.'"
Sahih al-Bukhari:

Hadith 2797: "The Prophet said: 'The martyrs are of different levels. Among them, there are those who will have seventy-two maidens of paradise (huris). They will have the same type of reward as the one who dies in the cause of Allah, and Allah will make him enter into paradise. Allah has mentioned that they will have the same reward as a martyr.'"
Sahih Muslim:

Hadith 1887: "The Prophet said: 'In Paradise, there will be a great reward for the martyrs, and they will be given a place in the highest part of Paradise. They will be given seventy-two maidens of Paradise, and they will have the same reward as the most righteous of people.'"

John 14:17

"The Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. You know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you."
John 14:23

"Jesus answered and said to him, 'If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.'"
1 Corinthians 3:16

"Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?"
2 Corinthians 6:16

"And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: 'I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.'"
