Isn’t it odd that the apostles never questioned Jesus about his forever torture chamber?

I don't think they're in their right mind.
This latest isn't a one-off.
You should think about where a scientist says he can change human dna telomeres, change human lifespan, see how many crazy rich people will invest in him, And want to live forever.

But the Communist Party did crack down on real cults (A woman claiming to be the Messiah, at least on the news,)and caught some people who mixed politics with their beliefs.

Faith is the kingdom of God, has nothing to do with earth politics.

In other words, I should say that American Politics is worse than Communist politics.

Neither should be involved in the faith.

I hope God could give them some color to see see.

Imagine being on a Christian forum in China.
What would people think of us? - LOL
I'm happy to cut them some slack.
There are no Christian forums in China anymore, ever since American spies, mingling among missionaries, have been using Cold War mentality to try to destabilize China's political power.
I'm happy that American politicians to cut us some slack.

Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God? - Ezekiel 18:23

If Christ had delight in the fate of the wicked he never would have come to planet earth.
Though the wicked may indeed be abominable at times, the word of God is true, and He truly desires to save every person.

23:13
But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

11:52
Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.

Precisely so. It's a blend of Christian teachings and Sci-fi tropes.
Here’s the thing: I’ve noticed on this forum that Protestants often champion Sola Scriptura—Scripture alone—and criticize Catholics for adding “historical traditions and practices not existent in the first church.”

But then comes @soberxp, dropping lines about “the joy of soaring through the cosmos,” “the world perishing in a cyberpunk-like manner,” “electronic Sheol,” and “electronic immortality as God’s redemption.”

I called it pure insanity, and you agreed it’s a Christian-sci-fi mashup.

Yet, some Protestants might jump in and say, “Oh, @soberxp isn’t blending anything; he’s just using pop culture language to express his thoughts.”

Hold up. So, Catholic traditions rooted in centuries of theology are “unbiblical additions,” but spinning Scripture into a Cyberpunk 2077 script is just “descriptive communication”? That’s a double standard.

Rejecting the Church Fathers’ wisdom while normalizing sci-fi fanfic as theology is, frankly, inconsistent. If we’re sticking to Scripture, where’s the “electronic Sheol” and “electronic immortality as God’s redemption.” in the Bible?
This isn’t about communication—it’s about rewriting the faith into something it’s not.

Jesus does speak of everlasting punishment
I think we can all agree, those whose destiny is hell, never get out alive.
Matthew 25:46
And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

John 3:14-16
New King James Version
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should [a]not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Frankly your comparison is apples to oranges. (cherry blossoms?)
We're talking about an English as second language member from China with a vivid imagination.

I get that @soberxp is member from China with a wild imagination, but that’s not the core issue here.

This whole thing with “soaring through the cosmos,” “cyberpunk-like perishing,” “electronic Sheol,” and “electronic immortality as God’s redemption” just proves my point: without the guardrails of strict dogmatic theology—like what Catholics and Orthodox hold to—you end up with Sola Scriptura spawning tens of thousands of Protestant denominations, each cooking up their own theology.

Anyone can pop up, write something straight out of a sci-fi novel, and say, “That’s my take,” or “The Spirit showed me.” No offense, but you guys are running without brakes.

Sola Scriptura allows us to test doctrines such as "cyberpunk-like perishing" and "serve Mary" to ensure that they are from God and not from man. Your critique of our friend from China is the argument FOR Sola Scriptura. Thanks.

@NotTheRock you say Sola Scriptura lets you “test” stuff like cyberpunk apocalypses or “serve Mary.”
Cool story…
except you’ve tested it so hard that you’ve got 45,000+ Protestant denominations and counting.

Two Protestants, three opinions, four new churches by Sunday.

So tell me, which flavor of Sola Scriptura are you?

Not me. I don't belong to any man-made church. I belong to Jesus's church.
Alright, does that mean you’ve created your own church tailored to your personal take on Scripture?
How many members are in this “Jesus’s church” of yours? Just you?
Is it a solo operation?
