My supervisor is a Sociopath and racist. He's black btw. Racism isn't just a white issue.

No one likes him. If he takes a dislike to you, you'll suffer.
He did. And because I have issues of plantar fasciatis and hyper pronation with my feet, and our work space is cement, which kills your feet no matter who you are,he makes me to work in an area where there are no matt's that retard the impact of feet with floor.

And when I'm in a smaller area where there was an impact mat, he took it away.

At my age it is harder to get a job. And in this area the businesses prefer to hire you'd minorities. There's even a tax service at the local department store that hired an all black staff of teenagers to do peoples taxes.

Last year it was populated with older white accountant types.

Hubby is on SS disability and works part time. I'm full time. Our overhead won't let me quit.

Dear God, please help us.

Don't stop working for the system before its time or Gods "Chosen" people (government) will have you on the street.

God will always provide. We have faith and comply with his Will. I say that in reference to things we cannot control.

I wish you the best of luck.

Praying for you and your husband. You've probably already tried this but are there any inserts you can put in your shoes? The work boot ones have helped me a lot in the past.

How old are you? I was at my last job for 16 years and it got distressing toward the end. I found out that one could retire at 62, so I went down to the SS office, saved up money till my benefits started, and when they did, I walked out. One of the greatest moments of my life. I just did the Shuffle off to Buffalo just like Fred Flintstone taught me. Course I missed out on more years of money working, but I've never regretted it.

Years since I watched the Flintstones. Ever notice they mirror the Jackie Gleason husband, wife, relationship? Sans the kids and dinosaur pet of course.

I've considered retiring. That one check a month would not be enough. I could work part time as a SPARK delivery driver. $50+ per delivery plus tip. Make your own hours.

Over here there are people you can go to if there is a health issue at work, by law through the Health and social care act they need to provide support if there are health issues. Is there anyone above this person you can talk to, sorry I don’t know where you work or how big the company is ?
I am so sorry as I can imagine how painful this issue Is, I worked with a damaged meniscus but also use to get pain in my feet from all the walking, it makes a job that much harder to do. I have been off sick since November after trying to continue for 6month, I thankfully retire in 8 weeks.

They have a system that allows you to enter a Doctor's note that exempts you from duties you are not able to perform.

However, we were denied Medicaid coverage this time around at renewal because they claim we make too much money at our jobs.

Hubby is part time on social security disability. I'm full time.
At renewal they ask for proof of your cost of living expenses and pay stubs.

When they denied us they only looked at our work income. So why supply the expenses report if those aren't considered? No clue.

So, I can't get a doctor's note because foot specialists operate by referral.

I could maybe afford a doctor appointment but not at all the specialist cost, what with tests and such before he could say I'm to receive special consideration at work.

The thing that really bugs me is, we have to study training videos on occasion as job duties increase.
One such training episode was on work and special needs consideration.

The hypothetical put forth in the training video showed a woman who had asthma and contact dermatitis.
The question asked was, what should be done when she is asked to do a task that will aggravate her condition?

Not at any time did that instruction state the woman was required to have a Doctors note before her condition would allow an exemption from certain potential tasks.

While my supervisor meanie says unless I have such a note he can't consider my issue with my feet.

I'd wondered if his treatment could be at odds with the Disability Act.
Or do I have to again need a doctor's note to prove I fall under the protection of the act?

What's telling is that compassion isn't even a consideration.

Because I brought that up.
It's not about exercising compassion. It's store policy,no getting around that, was his answer.

I'm going to ask two coworkers who are allowed to sit while doing their work if they have a doctor's note on file so to be allowed to do that.

If they don't I'll have to come up with something.

If employees complain to corporate too often, even though we're encouraged to suggest how the business could improve, and are also told to report abuse, with the option of remaining anonymous, they still know who we are when we use the in office reporting system.

They inform whomever we reported, and then seek any excuse to fire the one who reported.

My supervisor has been reported on for years.

Last month a coworker who was also targeted by him, was fired. She reported him numerous times over many years for his abuse against her.

The reason they gave for firing her was based on a trumped up charge concerning a matter that happened and was never an issue before and that occurred two years prior.

Another coworker quit on the day they transferred him to that supervisors floor. He said he'd rather quit than work with him.

The company would rather lose people left and right due to his evil, while keeping him on.

I just don't get it.

Sorry for the long reply.

What a horrible situation BlessedPeace,
God does get us through these things, as I am one who he did so for, AND it was from many issues but ESPECIALLY the FEET!! If you do not have your feet...?
It is only myself, no dual income but, He has seen fit to bless me no end and am now living with no financial worries. God is amazing as we can see, in hindsight mostly, how He works. Most wonderful is how we cannot see it until the micro moment when He comes through for us.

I am praying in much faith that you and your spouse will have faith to know Who is seeing everything over the brick wall you seemingly face :)

Lord please ease the pain, physical, mental and emotional for our sister and build her faith knowing that you will bring her through it all.

I think it's like, over 300 times scripture say's not to be anxious for anything, fear not, be not afraid and such...Please keep us posted, it can be exciting to see what He will do when we have the solid faith in ...knowing.

I am so sorry that it’s like this for you, and others. Sick notes are all a part of out National Health Service, so everyone is entitled to them at the doctors discretion. If we have a sick note we can claim sick pay ( but it’s not much ) Companies can get occupational therapy involved and they can suggest things to the employee , in your case either to provide footwear that would help or allow you to work in carpeted areas. I get so bugged when companies side with bullies and they seem to get away with it for so long, this does happen over here as well.
The one thing I have learned over the past year is that despite my fears I have to sometimes make the right decision for my own wellbeing , and the trust comes beyond making a decision that seems frightening to make ( like if you choose to leave )
I pray you will find a way forward xxxxxxx

Take care of your feet. Buy matts and proper shoes. Notice the discord (suffering) felt, is of the interpretations (about him and what everyone does or doesn’t like) and being interpretations, aren’t true. What’s true is that these are interpretations.

How do the interpretations feel? Great, or not great?

What is / are a better feeling, more resonating interpretation?

One infused with spirit & empowerment?

Of what is unwanted, what is wanted is derived.

What is wanted?

Focus upon that, and in alignment therein that seed will grow. So say you and so shall it be.

Appreciating and loving the job you have is the way to a job you want more. He is doing his best, just as are you. Your experience is invaluable, priceless. Don’t shortchange yourself & again, love & care for those feet as that’s how you’ll get there!

I used to dread going into work because my supervisor and I never got on even before she became my supervisor. When she did I started to play my radio really loud before I went in for my shift so that I had no room in my mind to think about her and how much I was dreading going in.

Then after a while I remembered that I was the Christian here and Jesus told us to pray for our enemies. And that's what I stared to do. Then I began each shift by saying something positive to her, such as complementing her on her nail colour or hair style or outfit. And slowly but surely she began to respect me and we got on so well in the end that it was her who gave me a lift home on the day I retired and came in for a cuppa with me.
