Gismys, is a 90+ year old man, who feel it is duty to prepare people for a 'rapture to heaven'.
His zeal is commendable, but his beliefs are false teachings, that have no Bible support.
I doubt anyone past 80 can make a significant shift in their beliefs. But, since the late 1980s, pretribbers are without excuse. In the 1980s, prettribber televangelists single-handedly destroyed the public reputation of televangelists by their immoral and criminal behavior, to say nothing of destroying their credibility with the mother of all false prophesies, the rapture by 1988, followed by their endless false prophesies to this day and distortion of scripture. The elderly today weren't elderly in the past, and for those not blind to the truth, scripture itself readily revealed the complete nonsense of pretrib doctrine to those of sound mind or devoted spirit. In the 21st century, we are no longer isolated from pressure to examine our beliefs.
I don't call a pretrib lie a lie in hopes of changing the view of someone elderly, but in doing my duty to not lend credence to anti-Christian outright lies for the sake of those sincerely searching for the truth, and for my duty to help prevent the suffering their pretrib lies cause (wars, persecution, and apostasy).
Assuming the validity of the Rapture, why would a pretribber see an urgency, or any need, in preparing people for the rapture? Are there works a Christian needs to perform to be raptured?
Impe and his pretrib ilk will die, not being raptured, but being proven fools in death, if they actually believed the selfish and devilish lie they would not die (which also happens to be the first lie the devil tells in the Bible). And, after they pass, God will judge them for the lies they've told and the destruction and suffering their lies have caused.
