Gismys, is a 90+ year old man, who feel it is duty to prepare people for a 'rapture to heaven'.
His zeal is commendable, but his beliefs are false teachings, that have no Bible support.

I doubt anyone past 80 can make a significant shift in their beliefs. But, since the late 1980s, pretribbers are without excuse. In the 1980s, prettribber televangelists single-handedly destroyed the public reputation of televangelists by their immoral and criminal behavior, to say nothing of destroying their credibility with the mother of all false prophesies, the rapture by 1988, followed by their endless false prophesies to this day and distortion of scripture. The elderly today weren't elderly in the past, and for those not blind to the truth, scripture itself readily revealed the complete nonsense of pretrib doctrine to those of sound mind or devoted spirit. In the 21st century, we are no longer isolated from pressure to examine our beliefs.

I don't call a pretrib lie a lie in hopes of changing the view of someone elderly, but in doing my duty to not lend credence to anti-Christian outright lies for the sake of those sincerely searching for the truth, and for my duty to help prevent the suffering their pretrib lies cause (wars, persecution, and apostasy).

Assuming the validity of the Rapture, why would a pretribber see an urgency, or any need, in preparing people for the rapture? Are there works a Christian needs to perform to be raptured?

Impe and his pretrib ilk will die, not being raptured, but being proven fools in death, if they actually believed the selfish and devilish lie they would not die (which also happens to be the first lie the devil tells in the Bible). And, after they pass, God will judge them for the lies they've told and the destruction and suffering their lies have caused.

LOL!!! Hey!! you feel free to believe whatever you like BUT what you believe does not change Truth!!

You should take your advice, especially considering you have no defense against the grave criticisms of your beliefs. Where did you hear the Impes don't have children?

You mean world's best science fiction writers don't you?.

I used to follow Hal Lindsey that is until the Lord called me out of that darkness into his marvelous light, and since then I have never looked back.
Biblical prophecy is really good; when it starts to become speculative and sensational it takes on the aura of science fiction, sometimes. I' not familiar enough with all Hal Lindsey's writings to know to what extent some of them might be regarded as science fiction.

1 Thessalonians 4:4_18 IS the rapture (catching up of believers)
Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be """caught up""" together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.

I see nothing you wrote that give anyone any reason to believe the rapture lie. Something isn't so just because you put "is" in caps. Why do you waste out time with one-liner posts that make absurd declarations without substance?

1 Thessalonians 4:4_18 IS the rapture (catching up of believers)./QUOTE]

1 Thessalonians 4 is about the Return of Jesus to the earth, for His Millennium reign. He comes down from heaven, gathers those faithful Christians who remain alive at that time, Matthew 24:30-31, to meet and greet Him in the clouds, then to be His priests and co-rulers for the next 1000 years. Revelation 5:9-10
It is simply not true that this transportation is to heaven. The faithful Christians are gathered mainly from the place where God has kept them safe for the duration of the Great Tribulation, to where Jesus is - in Jerusalem.

The rapture(catching up of believers) IS NOT the same event as when Jesus returns to earth with us raptured believers to defeat all evil and set up His kingdom!!

I know the Bible. You I don't know.

Yeah, you quoted 1 Thess 4. It doesn't say anyone remotely like anyone will be caught up before the tribulation, contrary to your pretrib lies. It tells us to encourage one another with these words. How can the generations of the past 2000 years be encouraged by something that didn't happen in their lives, except for the sake of being fools believing the lie of which you accuse God, false hope?

Your doctrine is the Devil's lie. The truth is that we will be caught up in the resurrection.

Why be left behind on rapture day and try to live under anti-christ rule and the wrath of God on this sinful world??
Luke 21:36

“Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”
1Thess. 5:9==For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ

I know the Bible. The Bible opposes you.

Yeah, you quoted 1 Thess 4. It doesn't say anyone remotely like anyone will be caught up before the tribulation, contrary to your pretrib lies.

Such is Matthew 24 most assuredly do you say and what will happened.

Revelations says there will be two resurrections.

Revelations 3:10 states the rapture will keep Christians from the hour testing. Tereo Ek means kept from by removal. Will not be here.

It tells us to encourage one another with these words. How can the generations of the past 2000 years be encouraged by something that didn't happen in their lives, except for the sake of being fools believing the lie of which you accuse God, false hope?

They can because it is the promise of their resurrection.

It also stated what has to happen first before the rapture.

Your doctrine is the Devil's lie. The truth is that we will be caught up in the resurrection.

There are two resurrections. In your belief there's only one.

As well, the first resurrection stretches out for over 1000 years.

The blink of an eye is referring to the removal of the Living since still living lost when not going to see them go. Nor will anybody be watching in this second resurrection since all left on the earth will go in that one to judgment.

Outside of the KJVO cult, there's legitimate doubt about the wording of Luke 21:36. The KJV reads "worthy to escape" but I think the proper wording is "have strength to escape", given that the context is about staying awake, an act of strength, not worthiness. The greater context is the challenge of fleeing Jerusalem when armies surround the city (ignore the Devil's rapture lie, flee or parish is the option here), which also is an act of strength, not worthiness.

Even if "worthinness" is correct, it's still no rapture. Stop spreading the Devil's lies, GISMYS.

Because that is our destiny.
But we DON'T have to live under the AC's rule. This idea just shows how little you know of God's plans for His people.
The proof that God's holy people, the ONE people of God, are on earth during the 42 month time of the AC's rule, is Daniel 7:25 and Revelation 13:7.
These scriptures are undeniable and plainly show the 'rapture to heaven' theory to be a lie.

Quite correct, Luke 21-34-36 cannot be used to promote a 'rapture'.
My REBible renders verse 36.....pray for the strength to pass safely through..... which is right, because verse 35 states what will happen will come upon everyone the whole world over.

Yes!!! After the rapture and millions will see they are left behind there will be many that will choose to believe and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior but they must then try to stay alive and live under the wrath of God on this evil world in the years of the great tribulation===Why choose to stay behind for that??

This idea that many people will be converted during the world control of the Anti-Christ, is totally refuted by Revelations 13:3 and verse 8 All the inhabitants of the earth will worship the 'beast', ……
Then Revelation 13:9 says we Christian believers now, must endure until the end.

Face it Gismys, you and millions have been deceived, as Jesus plainly says: No one goes to heaven, except the One who came from there. John 3:13 Plus many other scriptures that refute any notion of a rapture.

All OT prophecy involves Israel. Israel has not been a nation, in God's eyes, since about 64AD, although they will again be God's people when this present 100% Gentile 2000 years period is over, about 2064. Therefore, with no Israel, it is impossible that any OT prophecy has been fulfilled since 64AD. Therefore, any person that teaches that any OT prophecy is now being fulfilled is a liar and a false teacher, with no exceptions.

However, none of these false teachers know enough about the Bible to understand that they are liars and false teachers. They buy into their own lies.

Have you noticed they never say anything that can be absolutely be proven wrong. They all operate within the realm of controlled obscurity.

2Cor 2:17 (NIV)
"Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God."

I don't know where to draw the line on this. I would guess that anyone making over about $100K a year through teaching or preaching the Word of God is a thief. Have you ever noticed that about 90% of those that do exceed that figure are Charismatics/Pentecostals, Rapturists, or Prophecy Teachers. All are false teachers teaching things that don't exist for anyone today and haven't existed since 64AD - the Gifts of the Spirit, the Rapture, and Prophecy Fulfillment. ALL 100% non-existent for us today. All that believe these things are 19 Centuries behind the times.

Romans 11:26-27 (KJV)
26 And so """all Israel shall be saved""": as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
