The "last day" is not clearly defined by it's use in other scriptures so that is why I say it is not clear in that you can't point to another passage for definitive meaning which does not preclude trying to understand it.

Clearly, the "last day" is the last day, just as it says.

Keep the commandments, abide in Christ, love one another, sell all they had, confess Jesus, be baptized. This is for the believing remnant of Israel to enter the kingdom and they would be enabled by the Holy Spirit.
