Good morning @Pathfinder7 and @Rita and CB! I'm just waking up and having my coffee. I got up a second time. It is the last day of extreme heat advisory today. And I did OK so far. But August will be hotter than usual here. Not nearly as bad as east of the mountains though.

Yes,I think they have predicted it will get unseasonably hot here in august. It’s not too bad today, but rain is needed. They have imposed hosepipe bans and are predicting restrictions if this continues. …….
I read that there have been some awful flash floods in Kentucky, many killed and homes destroyed.

Yes I've been watching the floods on the weather channel. They also had flooding in Arizona lately. The weather is crazy here. They're really pushing the global warming agenda now and using the weather as a cattle prod. But fluctuations in weather over the years is to be expected and not necessarily a sign of global warming. But most people aren't aware of that so they take advantage of that fact.

@Rita Interestingly just recently it was cold over here; cold enough for my breath to fog up the windscreen of my car; there is within North America a great deal of regional variation.

Sad about the loss of life.
