Seems like their is one major importance of the function of the mark that is not being talked about... "You will not be able to buy or sell unless you take this mark". Now the question is: If we can't buy or sell, then how will we survive without the mark when it is implemented? No buying houses, food, clothes, etc. No selling items for business. This is the means by which we survive today.

I've come across this Youtube channel that talks about the MOTB and they have interesting thoughts. I don't subscribe to everything that they teach, but they have interesting thoughts nonetheless. I'll post a relevant video here:

In peace

Wouldn't this be talking about the rapture? During Christ's millennial reign, the world is going to be totally aware of Christ and his kingdom and it's not going to be surprising anyone.

It clearly says at the second coming Satan is thrown in the pit for thousand years. Then Peter says when Satan is released from the pit he will amass another army and attack Jerusalem again.

So clearly there are two raptures, one pretrib and one post MK.

Sure, they are totally familiar with Christ during the MK, but they will still rebel under the leadership of Satan.

Just like the angels were with God from their creation and saw all he did, but still rebelled under the leadership of Satan.

Makes no sense to me, the Bible lays it out clearly.

As far as thief in the night, people who do not want to see or know will not see or know. They would just think they can stop it from happening under the leadership of Satan.

This is a problem with Catholicism. It thinks time equals proof, which is nonsense. In example, that Peter was the first pope and Bishop of Rome. Long disproven. There are religions that are older than Christianity. Does that make them true?
Hi,

The Church does not teach that "time equals proof". The Church teaches what Scripture says in 2 Thessalonians 2:15 and 1 Corinthians 11:12. You and your ilk reject your own Christian traditions. Scripture tells us to hold fast to them. You believe/practice the traditions that started 500 years ago or less. So why do you chastise us for holding to our 2,000 year traditions but your 500 year traditions are ok? ;)

The earliest record of Peter being in Rome (along with Paul) is in a letter written by Clement of Rome (95AD). Ignatius inferred in his Letter to the Romans that Peter and Paul were in Rome together. (110AD) Irenaeus flat out said that Peter and Paul preached in Rome (180AD). Scripture and the earliest historical writings makes it clear that there were appointed Bishops to maintain the flock in various towns/regions. Sooooooo if Peter was not the "Bishop of Rome", who was? Please provide historical evidence of the first Bishop of Rome.

You are trying to argue a point that has not been made. The Church does not argue that the older the religion the more true it is. If that was the Churches argument then the Jewish religion would be more true than the Christian religion.
