To All,

It appears that "Herbert Ogletree" is providing a study of scripture based upon his translation of the original text.

I have no problem with this, except when errors are made. As such please allow the following citations:

New Version Bible Study In the New Beginning. part one
By Herbert H Ogletree

God the Father
In the beginning was the Word. And the Word was with God and the Word was God the Father, and so was Christ the one and only Son of God our own Savior. The same as in the beginning. All thing was made by God and with out him not any thing was made for in him was life, and the life was the light of man.
John - 1:2-5

Quote

You are already in error in your first paragraph.

All things were made by the Word. Through him (the Word) all things were made.

In Christ
Montana Marv

Scripture:
John 1 (KJV)

[sup]1[/sup]In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

"Herbert Ogletree" commits a significant error in assigning that the Word (Jesus) is GOD the Father: "and the Word was God the Father".

As such, if one's theology is distorted in the simple things, it's probably distorted in the complex.

Secondly, apparently this individual is basically a spammer, -- leaving his droppings as on the sidewalk, never answering any comments, never mitigating the stain or the stench.

Hi BibleScribe, Why I believe that Jesus was with God in the beginning came from St. John 17: 4-5. As it is in the King James Bible 17:4, I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. So BibleScribe that show that Christ was in the begining also with the Father God. So when do you believe Christ came in to beening if he was not with the Father in begining? For Christ was BEFORE the world. Thanks Herbert

80's aren’t that old anymore. I know a lot of people in their 80's and 90's. And Herb, all you need to do is read a few of the posts on this board and you will see that many younger people have no idea how to write or spell, their posts are full of mistakes.
