"Your body is dead because of sin", and your Spirit is not your body.
Humans are a Spiritual creation that exist inside a body.
This is called a "living soul"...in Gen, when God put the spirit into Adam's BODY.
The dead body goes to the Grave, while the living spirit leaves the body, and goes into eternity, ither as a Christan, or as a unbeliever.

If you go into eternity as a Christian, then you were born again, on earth, before you died, and you will go to Heaven.

If you go into eternity as a Unbeliever, or as a "religious but lost"....never born again, then you will not go to Heaven and Hell is the only other eternal destination that God offers.

someday you will die ,even as I . death is going to get you. the only hope we have of living again is because of the promise Jesus gave that the dead righteous and the unrighteous will be given a resurrection . its what you do after that point that will determine if you go to the second death . the second death is the end of any one so judged . they are forgotten ,all memory of them is gone ,even as if fire burned them up.
