In short: historical reasons.why are there so many KJV onlyists
JW use the KJB when it suits them in public generally, though some may still use it privately. Generally the WTS has the JW use NWT (latest 'silver' sword) (or a KIT).i don't think we use it but we do allow use of it so i guess it's like a "Approved Bible" but not official for the jw.
you're asking me for things i don't have.
The King James is the perfectly preserved word of God, Psalms 12:6-7; Matthew 24:35; Mark 13:31; Luke 21:22; Deuteronomy 8:3; Matthew 4:4; Luke 4:4; John 12:48, &c.
@OzSpen,
Michael is only seventeen years of age and searching right now. Please go easy on him, as he has had some bad experiences with Christians.

hehe you think i am actually that high on the Watch Tower Cooperate ladder i am unbaptized.
Why not ask a long term JW to find this information for you so you can share with me?
no why do you need the names.Michael,
Are you a Jehovah's Witness? If so, why can't you obtain the names from your JW organisation of the translators and their linguistic qualifications, on the 'New World Bible Translation Committee' (June 1, 1984 edition, p. 5)?

Have you ever thought why God would design his word in a lost ancient language, why didn't he personally update his book every hundred years or so, hmm?
Most churches do this, it's a sad fact.I heard the JW's publish their own bibles.
And translate it to fit their doctrine.
Probably true, after I heard some of their preaching.

Only cults.

Those wacky cult's.No. There are some different versions such as NIV and KJV.
But that was not the issue I mentioned.
I said most cults publish their own bible version.
Such as JW and Mormons.
