The mustard seed represents that one essential doctrine from which Jesus builds his entire body of teaching. This one essential idea makes sense of history in its entirety, Biblical theology in its entirety. It makes sense of faith, hope and love in its entirety.
What is that essential idea that is small like a mustard seed but grows big like a large plant?
