Yep. Took a video to take in some of the longer pythons, but can't upload them. There this however...View attachment 21447
In my younger and keener years I would pick these guys up lying across the road and take them around to the local backpackers for the guests to get up close and personal to. They, ie, the pythons, have personality's like people; some are relaxed and pliable, others are on the edge and a bit feisty.
I picked a 3mtr whopper up one time and misjudged it. It swung around mouth open and onto my hand. These guys have rows of needle like teeth around their bite.....I tell you, it bled like nothing else; one who have thought I had cut an artery. Fortunately they are not poisonous and if there's going to be any complication it'll be from bacteria in their mouths from whatever else they've consumed......Ohhh, and getting them to uncoil from around ones arm is another trick.....it's as strong as a band of steel.

Wouldn't mind handling one so long as I knew it was friendly.

Another expedition with the classes into the city... The local war memorial...ShrineIMG20220506104731.jpg IMG20220506104700.jpg IMG20220506110447.jpg IMG20220506110718.jpg IMG20220506104400.jpg

The above is the NZ flag, fit those who may be a little confused. Below, can you imagine approaching an open beach with hundreds of snipers on the cliff tops in one of these? This is how the Australian and NZ forces arrived in Turkey in 1914. The fatality count was horrendous.
