@kcnalp please my friend, don't fear that we would determine nasty things against you, disassociate ourselves from you, speak words that would offend or invite others to malign or bring prejudiced charges against you, just because we believe eternal torment is heresy. Far from it. We love Jesus to, so you have nothing to fear from us. But we don't take our stance on this subject without thoughtful Bible study, prayer, and a love for truth and earnest desire to uphold God's character in the midst of a world that despises Him, and sad to say, the world does so because we'll meaning Christians such as yourself portray to the world a God they cannot accept. A despotic cruel vengeful torturer which if human, would be cast out as the execration of humanity. "This is the merciful, loving God of the Christians?" "We refuse to worship such a beast ". And who can blame them?
How do we reconcile that god, with the God Who walked the dusty roads of Palestine healing all who asked? How do we reconcile that god, with the One Who gave His life a ransom for many? How do we reconcile that god with the One Who risked eternal separation from His Father, because of the intense burden of sin that was laid upon Him, but went ahead with the plan anyway because He knew your salvation was at stake? How do we encourage unbelievers to accept such a god who in vengeful retribution will burn them forever if they don't believe? If course they don't believe! I don't believe in that god either!
But I do believe in Jesus. I love Him to bits, because I know Him to be merciful and just and fair in all His dealings with mankind, He has warned time and time again that we can trust Him, but if we go our own way and refuse His love and offer of salvation, we will eventually die. And we will stay dead. Forever.
KJV Ezekiel 18:32
32 For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.
