You have to have been born again to have faith. Faith is the fruit of the Spirit Gal 5 22

Faith comes before the New Birth.
We hear the Gospel, we BELIEVE = FAITH.
God receives our Faith, and Justifies us through our faith.
This Faith Based Salvation, is actually based on Jesus.
Its "Jesus who is the author and finisher of our Faith".

See, everything that is "God's Grace" is actually all about the finished work of Jesus.

Salvation is not an obtuse idea. Its literally Jesus.
Jesus is God's Grace.
Jesus IS God's Salvation.
So, when we have Him...when we are "in Christ", = that is Salvation.

False statement. There's no such thing as being given a opportunity to receive Christ. That is man made doctrine!

Paul said that Christ sent him to Preach the Gospel.
Jesus said.."go into all the world and preach, teach, and make disciples".

The Gospel, is God invitation to receive Christ, and the Word of God says, that "as many as RECEIVED JESUS, God gave to them power to become a Son of God".

Paul said, how can they BELIEVE, unless one who is sent preaches the GOSPEL.
Paul says that FAITH comes by HEARING, and Hearing by the Gospel being explained and offered to a person to BELIEVE.

So, im not certain if you are a Mormon or a JW, but, what you have been taught, is not of God.

"All that call on the name of the Lord, shall be saved"

Thats a verse.

Notice the "ALL"?
Thats ALL Inclusive, of every human being who chooses to exercise their Free Will, as =Faith in Christ.

Want another?
Ok.
"For God so loved the World, that He Gave His only begotten Son, that WHOSOVERER Believeth in Jesus, shall not perish, but will have eternal-everlasting life".

Now, pay attention Christophany.
Do you see the word "whosoever" in John 3:16?
Do you have a dictionary? Do you need one?
That word means EVERYONE...... not just the "elect".

See, God's offer of Heaven, is universal. Its an open door for everyone who will BELIEVE in Jesus and be born again.
John 3... "you must be born again".

So......Who goes to Heaven?
= Born again BELIEVERS.
And what does the NT call the Believers?.....It calls them the ' "elect.""
Every believer is "the elect".
This phrase is just the way the Bible, the NT, defines the born again, or the believers.

The pre-destined elect, are created by Grace through Faith, and are born again, and this brings all the born again to a final eternal State.
Understand.... "Salvation"= this eternal situation is pre-determined by God, to have a certain outcome.
The elect, are pre-determined to end up, with God, with a new body, etc.
That is what is pre-destined.....its that the born again, all end up with the same REWARD in the END.

The heretic, who cant understand the verses, probably because they are not born again, reads it like this..
"God pre-determines who will be saved, and who wont be".
But that is not the verse, that is the heretic's twisted teaching of the verse.
The verse, states that the end reward for being born again is pre-determined in every Believer's eternal life, BEFORE they are born.
= God knew who would be a believer, and God has their "elects" reward
The Heretic, can not understand that to KNOW, is not the same as to CAUSE.
God knowing all things before they happen, (the foreknowledge of God) is not the same as causing all things to happen.
Foreknowing is not causing.....Foreknowing is KNOWING, before it happens.
That's God's "Foreknowledge".

you don't even know the meaning of the word heretic or heresy if you did you would not conduct yourself like you do. here I will help you out since the word actually fits your behavior in this thread.

How does the Bible deal with heresy? Titus 3:10 says, “A man that is an heretic after the first and second admonition reject” (KJV). Other translations say “divisive person,” “factious man,” and “person who stirs up division.” When a person in the church departs from biblical teaching, the correct response is to, first, try to correct him, but if he refuses to listen after two warnings, have nothing more to do with him. Excommunication is implied. The truth of Christ will unify believers (John 17:22-23), but heresy, by its very nature, cannot peacefully co-exist with the truth.got?

pot calling kettle ..................................

hope this helps !!!

@Behold, what do you make of this:

Eph 1:11, In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

Jesus loves the little children
Some of all types of all the children of the world
red and yellow, black and white
Some are precious in His sight
Jesus loves some of the children of the world

I'm not a Calvinist and I do believe that we are predestined.
"For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters; 30 and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified." Romans 8:29-30

These truths dispels any doubt about it: GOD IS SOVEREIGN. HE HAS A PERFECT PLAN. HIS PLAN IS ALREADY WRITTEN. HE KNOWS THE FUTURE. HE KNOWS WHO IS IN THE BOOK OF LIFE (which was written before the foundation of the world - outside of our time domain). HE ORCHESTRATES HIS PLAN IN DETAIL.

How could any prophesy come true unless all the details were carried out exactly how He planned. His plan includes all our faults and failures, our sin, and so He allows evil for a purpose. We are in fact incapable of seeking God without His help. We are spiritually blind until He supernaturally lifts our veil of blindness and enables us to see. Jesus said, "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day." John 6:44
Jesus also said, "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;" John 10:27

The Father has given Jesus sheep, that were predestined to be saved. All these truths and scriptures support this.
There could be no sheep if none were predestined!!!

We could not appreciate good unless the knowledge of evil was not available. We could not know and really understand forgiveness, hope, faith, love, mercy, peace, joy unless we understood what it was like to experience their opposites or absence of them. We can't mess up God's plan and so it was in fact part of the plan all along - to know good and evil. Evil has been used by God for a purpose. We learn from our mistakes, from sin. Sin brings death and so many suffer the wages of sin and die in their sins. To be fair, God does not desire that any perish, but they resist, reject Jesus after being given many opportunities. I believe that God draws all men to Himself, but knows that many will not come and so according to His foreknowledge has chosen His elect. He lets the others go as in Romans 1 says, to their own desires and demise. This seems like a conundrum, because we cannot see the big picture. I also do not believe in eternal destruction. Destruction means to put an end to and so all these lost will just be destroyed in the Lake of Fire. Eternal destruction would be like some indestructible destruction or imperishable perishing - it doesn't make sense. God throughout the Bible shows us His fair punishment, judgments and justice. it was always temporal and in proportion to the sin. As paper burns in fire, so shall physical beings be thrown into a physical fire and destroyed very quickly. I think of that scene when Gollum falls into the Volcanic lava lake and is destroyed. Some say it is a spiritual fire. The Bible says that "all former things will pass away". Death and Hades, Satan and His Demons will be thrown into the Lake of Fire and destroyed and if the Lake is within the earth, part of creation, it too will pass away. Then God creates a new heaven and earth. Darkness will not exist anywhere. Many will argue this view, but I am comfortable believing that no souls will suffer in some eternal torture chamber ... for just sinning for 80 years?
Btw, the Bible says that a believer "and his household" will be saved. Don't worry about anyone else. God will wipe the tears away and so no one is up in heaven mourning their loved the lost souls forever. God has a perfect Judgment for everyone. Evil will have had it's purpose, so that we can understand and appreciate all that God gave us.
