The truth puts fear in all sinners and this question is asked quite often because of fear. You don't fear me as person because you don't even know who I am. You fear that if it's true what I say, then everything you've learned has been a lie.

I'm sorry to say that your fears aren't from God.

You misinterpret my question. Trust me...I have absolutely no fear of you. As a matter of fact, I do not even fear death. It is such a simple question I ask, and right away you accuse me of something that is not true. A person who reacts to such a simple question is a person who is showing fear. I am not surprised that many people ask you that question. Perhaps, you should listen to that simple question.

If you were God who created all things, then you would say "I' more often.

But I am not God and I know it, your not God and I know that too but your posts are very ludicrous.

I'm a perfectly normal and healthy man who you never met before. To make an accusation that I'm mentally ill has nothing to do with concern for me. You don't like the things I say and that's what concerns your pride.

Who said anything about mental illness? There are all kinds of doctors. In my post, I never specified which doctor you have been to? I simply asked, "When was the last time you saw a doctor?" It was YOU who brought up mental illness; therefore, I assume that someone (maybe a family member or friend) brought it up to your attention? But now that YOU brought up "mental illness," it does not hurt to check it out.

At this point, I am wondering where the Admin is???? I would like to start some new threads, but not when this Troll, who has hijacked all the recent threads with his garbage, is still allowed to spread his lies at the expense of real dialog.

If the Scriptures are not the word of God as you say, then why do you quote the scriptures to us?

In Christ,
Selene

Judging people is a sin. Bragging that one is sinless is also a sin. All these are sins of pride.

In the Bible, there was a story about a sinner and a Pharisee who prayed to God. The sinner prayed to God to forgive his sins. The Pharisee looked at the sinner and thanked and praise God for making him not like the sinner. In other words, he thanked God for making him sinless. But it was the sinner who went away justified.

In Christ,
Selene

Judging people is NOT a sin.
The worldly minded man uses that phrase to justify his sin. He uses it like a cloak to allow him to hide in the shadows for a little while longer.

Christians are called to judge RIGHTLY.

Nowhere does it say we ought not judge at all.
We are cautioned as to the exercise of it, but never forbidden to do so.
In fact, St. Paul left us a specific method for judging and examining a Christian.
If it were forbidden, he wouldn't have wasted his time and God would not have allowed those passages to survive for two thousand years.

It IS a sin to judge God, however.
Worldly minded folks do that all the time, yet none of them utters an admonishment against the practice.
It's ok for them to disrespect God all day long, but if we warn them against it - suddenly it is us who break the rule.

That being said, I must disagree with Mr. Word and support Selene morally.

Mr. Word is a person who likes nothing more than to see his/It's words in print wherein he/it insults the faith of others and exalts his/its own opinion.
He/It insults the faith of others by accusing them personally of sin. He/It is a bit out of his/it's jurisdiction when he/it does so.
I know of only one creature that exalts itself at the same time as it accuses Christians of sin.

Let me see. Hmmmmm. That would be the enemy, the accuser, the devil itself wouldn't it?
Perhaps the writings of Mr. Word are indeed the exposition of the devil and not a human.
It certainly appears that way. I know of no Christian philosophy or religion that assumes such a position.
Even Islam does not do so. The Muslim accuses non-believers of sin, but never those of his own faith.

It has been stated elsewhere that Mr. Word is a troll and that those who monitor these posts are not taking appropriate action.
I'm not sure of the definition of what a troll is, but I am sure that if a Christian makes a personal statement against such a person they are issued a warning.
I certainly expect to receive one for what I've written here, but I've seen no evidence that such an edict has been issued upon Mr. Word.

Whether Mr. Word is a man or a devil remains to be seen. Unfortunately only that creature will ever witness such a conversion or lack of it.
The rest of us must proceed by faith - as always.

I would like to say some things to the Word member. I really don't think he knows what he's saying. It's like he was revealed some truth, then some other thoughts came into his mind and he claimed those thoughts as truth as well. It's like he owned any thought that came to his mind, like any thought the devil put in his head. I really do pray for him. The Bible says not to go beyond what is written. And he should of checked out from the Bible his new thoughts to see if it were so. I hope we can all agree to pray for him.

I believe in listening to God in meditation and contemplation, but the Bible and tradition are my anchor - if my thoughts, feelings or behavior contradict the Bible or the Catechism, I know I am off track. Without the Bible, meditation and contemplation are dangerous activities.

Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that you may not be judged.

Luke 6:37
Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you shall be forgiven.

These are words spoken by Jesus. When a person judges everyone as sinners while he says that he is sinless, that is a sin....it is the sin of pride. It is the sin of pride because essentially what the person is saying under this thread is that he is better than anyone else. The root cause of man judging his fellow man is usually pride. There is nothing in Sacred Scripture that says that we are called to judge rightly. Instead, we are called not to judge our neighbors (James 4:12). Only God can judge justly and rightly (James 4:12.) Mankind is incapable of judging justly. If man was capable of judging rightly, Jesus would not have been falsely accused and condemned to die on the cross. Human justice is always faulty while divine justice is just. There is a difference between human justice and divine justice. When Jesus said, "let the one who is without sin cast the first stone," no one could cast that first stone because no one was better than the adultress. Yet, they all judged her a sinner. Even St. Paul and the Apostles says that we are to stop judging one another (Romans 14:13 and James 4:11). If you feel that it is a sin to judge God, then it is also a sin to judge your fellow man, who was created in the image of God.

Nevertheless, I do agree with you that we can judge certain things. When the Bible says that we are not to judge, they are referring to people as sinners, and that is what I am referring to. On the other hand, we can judge whatever decisions and actions we make in our everyday lives. However, this was never what I was referring to under this thread.

In Christ,
Selene

Amen.

We are only able to see personal sin in others so that we can know our own sin and repent of it.

Christ Jesus preached quite a bit about the place called hell. So who are those that would like to remove His preaching about hell?

Matt 5:29
29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
(KJV)

Matt 10:28
28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
(KJV)

Matt 11:23
23 And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.
(KJV)

Matt 16:18
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
(KJV)

Hell has gates? Apparently so. Our Lord Jesus said so.

Matt 23:15
15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.
(KJV)

Matt 23:31-33
31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.
32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.
33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
(KJV)

Hell is a very real place according to my Lord Jesus Christ. He warned us about those who will be going there, and His servants should give that warning too.

That's correct, we are not to judge others to 'condemnation', for we don't have the power to judge a sinner to hell. But God's law is for judging, and where the law is, that's God having judged, not us.

James 4:11-12
11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.
12 There is one lawgiver, Who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
(KJV)

Note that James makes a distinction between those who judge God's law vs. the doers of the law. Does that mean we aren't given to judge the difference between wickedness and righteousness per God's laws? Nope...

1 Cor 6:4-5
4 If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.
5 I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?
(KJV)

1 Cor 5:11-13
11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
(KJV)

God judges the sinners who are "without", meaning outside His Church. His law takes care of that (1 Timothy 1:9). But those ordained as overseers of His Church most definitely are to also judge "within" His Church, and put away the wicked outside His Church.

The false idea that there is to be no judgments against wickedness within Christ's Body is a lie from those who seek to destroy Christ's Body.

I did not read the whole thread.

However I will notice this... The "feel good" gospel has undoubtedly brought in tons of fake Christians that we like to pretend are Christians. Of course they tithe and make our rosters look bigger so we don't say anything, we just keep preaching "feel good" to further our goals.
We do this in the name of "sensitivity" or "politically correctness". How did the actual Apostles preach?

My suggestion? Read Romans.
"You're wicked, you're evil, you're sinful, God's judgement on you... Here's Christ... Then here's how to live" is the outline, and holds true in almost all of Paul's letters. He spends 3 chapters in Romans dealing with how wicked man is.

How did the apostles preach? Seems that they did preach hell and sin to me!

Now, note I'm not speaking of "turn or burn" as that's just as bad... They "convert" because of being fearful of hell, not Christ.

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can't, and life can't. The angels can't, and the demons can't. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell can't keep God's love away. Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38&39

Paul preached the "good news" about the Love of God, Christ crucified the Savior of all people. Paul preached and taught reconciliation not separation. It's all there in his letters.

What do you think the first three chapters of Romans are?
How can one preach reconciliation without first understanding separation?

OK guess I wasn't clear. Paul taught that we all were once separated from God but now because of the cross we are reconciled. Paul did not teach eternal torment or total annihilation but rather universal reconciliation.

Ahhh so you're saying he didn't breach "little leprechauns torturing you day and night" but rather he left it as "you're evil and separated from God"?

Matthew 13:49-50 (NKJV)
