We can be but protestants dont allow it.Why can't we all be friends?
I recognize Him not you. The fact you cant see the difference tells me what I need to know. Im going to ask you AGAIN to show something from a time before the looney little monk that shows any church was teaching what you believe. Do that then we can talkYou do not recognize my authority because you do not recognize Him who sent me.
Oh course they reject the body of Christ.Protestants don't reject the body of Christ. All Catholics who reject the Protestants as "not part of the body of Christ" reject the body of Christ.
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
-- Ephesians 4
Nothing useful. Its sad how angry you people get

And the fact that you cannot see Him in me tells me exactly where you are at and your condition.I recognize Him not you. The fact you cant see the difference tells me what I need to know. Im going to ask you AGAIN to show something from a time before the looney little monk that shows any church was teaching what you believe. Do that then we can talk
I simply gave you ONE historical example of false pagan accusations against Early Christians for being cannibals for their belief in the Eucharist. There are MANY such examples, like the following:So you quote history stating that Christians were falsely accused of eating the flesh of their children and claim that they were falsely accused of eating the flesh of Christ.
Even if they were falsely accused if eating the flesh of Christ - notice that you believe that you literally eat the flesh of Christ. So in their case it was a false accusation - but in your case, it is not.
Anyway not even the pagans would have accused them of eating the flesh of someone who was not even there - you changed the words "of your children" to "of Christ", thus corrupting the very words of the historical person you quoted in order to find support for what you are saying.
The document you quote describes a debate between a Christian named Octavius and a pagan named Caecilius at the Roman port of Ostia.
Here's the history - which as a faithful false witness speaking for the Catholic church - you dutifully ignored:
CAECILIUS THE PAGAN: You Christians are the worst breed ever to affect the world. You deserve every punishment you can get! Nobody likes you. It would be better if you and your Jesus had never been born. We hear that you are all cannibals--you eat the flesh of your children in your sacred meetings.
OCTAVIUS The Christian: That story is probably based on reports that we share together a meal of the body and blood of Christ. That we do. But it is not human flesh we eat. It is bread and wine we consecrate to commemorate our Lord's death.
Source: Why Early Christians Were Despised
Produce a history where they were falsely accused of eating the flesh of Christ in support of what you say, for goodness sake
- because "stupid" is to quote a historical figure falsely accusing them of eating the flesh of their children in order to support the notion that it's a false accusation to say that Catholics believe that they eat the flesh of the crucified Christ.
Jesus said:The earliest church knew they weren't literally eating the literal flesh or literally drinking the literal blood of Jesus, because Jesus clarified what He meant - just as His disciples were later to record and which we now see in verse 63 below:
51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Jesus clarified what He meant by what He said in verse 63: He lived by the Father. We live by Him. He was going to shed His blood and give His body for the life of the world - and the gospel of John containing the record of Jesus clarifying what He meant was written possibly even AFTER the debate took place between the two people that you quote because the history of it was written somewhere between 130 and 200 AD.
The way we eat His flesh and drink His blood is by faith in His once-for-all sacrifice. In the body of Christ we do not crucify Him over and over and over by turning a wafer into His "literal body" and wine into His "literal blood".
Catholics don’t reject Protestant as being part of the Body of Christ.Protestants don't reject the body of Christ. All Catholics who reject the Protestants as "not part of the body of Christ" reject the body of Christ.

Maybe some Pepto-Bismal for that verbal diarrhea?Nothing new with you…as expected…
Same old nasty remarks…
Same whining Because you can not discern Spiritual Understanding, with continual reliance on your Carnal Minded understanding.
1 Cor. 2:
[14] But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

"Without discerning the body" is the error of the Catholic Church doctrine. Not discerning which body and which Rock, Catholics indeed eat and drink judgment upon themselves.I simply gave you ONE historical example of false pagan accusations against Early Christians for being cannibals for their belief in the Eucharist. There are MANY such examples, like the following:
“For when the Greeks, having arrested the slaves of Christian catechumens, then used force against them, in order to learn from them some secret thing [practiced] among Christians, these slaves, having nothing to say that would meet the wishes of their tormentors, except that they had heard from their masters that the divine communion was the body and blood of Christ, and imagining that it was actually flesh and blood, gave their inquisitors answer to that effect. (Irenaeus, Fragments from the Lost Writings of Irenaeus, Fragment 13).
Jesus said:
John 6:53-56
“Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.”
The usual Greek word used for human eating is “phagon”. However, this is NOT the word used in these passages. John uses the word, “trogon”, which means, “to munch or to gnaw” - like an animal. Jesus was again using hyperbole as he often did to drive his point across so that the crowd would understand that he was NOT speaking metaphorically. He meant what he said.
Just as the Paschal Lamb was to be eaten - it is also true for the Lamb of God.
As for verse 63 – you have perverted that as well.
John 6:63-64
The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life. Yet there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus had known from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray him.
Jesus is NOT saying that HIS flesh counts for nothing. Sacrificing HIS flesh on the cross is what brings us salvation. He is telling the crowd that THEIR carnal thinking counts for nothing because they are not seeing what He is telling them. Why do you think after many of them turn away and leave – He turns to the 12 and says:
John 6:66
“Do YOU also want to leave”?
He doesn’t explain to them that He was just speaking “symbolically” – because He WASN’T.
In 1 Cor., Paul speaks to the reality of the Eucharist and the severity of the consequences to those who take this lightly:
1 Cor. 11:27-30
“Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily will have to answer for the body and blood of the Lord. A person should examine himself, and so eat the bread and drink the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body, eats and drinks judgment on himself. That is why many among you are ill and infirm, and a considerable number are dying.”
This is pretty harsh language for something that YOU claim is only a symbol . . .
Actually, this correlates to Paul’s 2md Letter to the Corinthians when he writes about the Ministry of Reconciliation."Without discerning the body" is the error of the Catholic Church doctrine. Not discerning which body and which Rock, Catholics indeed eat and drink judgment upon themselves.
"Without discerning the body" is the error of the Catholic Church doctrine. Not discerning which body and which Rock, Catholics indeed eat and drink judgment upon themselves.
Looks like someone forgot to take their Thorazine today . . .Snarky,
Gaslighter,
False Accuser
and
Drug pusher…
Not impressed!

Yes, the point being...these things--these created things of flesh and blood and elements, giving form to the message and revelation of God, are but an image and merely point to that which is real and otherwise invisible in this world.Hi ScottA… adding.
God is invisible.
Spirits are invisible.
Souls are invisible.
LIFE of an earthly human body IS BLOOD.
God prepared A Body FOR His Word.
God Prepared BLOOD / LIFE for that BODY.
God Named that Prepared BODY; JESUS., and sent “that holy thing” to Earth.
To Eat Jesus Body… is to Take a bite of Gods Word (Not spit it out) but Rather EAT / Consume it.
To Drink Jesus’ Blood IS Consume oneself WITH Jesus’ LIFE.
A man who does THAT, is the man WHO Has consumed Gods Word of Truth AND His Life,
Within the man…
Thus the man be Called… IN-Christ and Christ IN the man.
The Eucharist (is a parallel of the word Thanksgiving) (also referenced or effected by some as / during Communion/Mass) was a tradition early on as a commemorative acknowledgement of Christ Jesus’ Last Supper, and typically took place once a year.
Glory to God,
Taken
Can you show that just one of the things you believe was taught in the church before the looney little monk showed? no of course you cant because no one believed that drivelWhat is useful about worshiping a woman who had to be forgiven her sin, exactly the same as you had to be forgiven yours?
Yes, i understand that the MaryCult tries to deify Jesus's mother, but thankfully, i was never fooled and deceived by such a ridiculous false religious belief system that even the former virgin Mary is ashamed of........and she would tell you that, if you met her.

No its all you because you think you know what Jesus "actually meant".. LOLAnd the fact that you cannot see Him in me tells me exactly where you are at and your condition.
I don't know who you mean by your "the looney little monk" trash talk, but I should not give an answer to you at all--for everything I have been saying is written and you boast as if you know everything and yet do not. And you keep saying "what I believe", which I have REPEATEDLY told you is not the case--which you would know if you actually knew the scriptures.
So, without a change in attitude, crumbs is all you will get:
Revelation 2:4 Nevertheless I have this against youRevelation 2:14 But I have a few things against youRevelation 2:20 Nevertheless I have a few things against you1 John 4:3 And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.2 Peter 2:1 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you2 Thessalonians 2:11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie2 Corinthians 12:2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows—such a one was caught up to the third heaven.Daniel 12:9 And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.Revelation 10:4 Now when the seven thunders uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them.”Revelation 10:7 but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets.
That is a lie--you blaspheme the Holy Spirit. No its all you because you think you know what Jesus "actually meant".. LOL
That was because Peter was not Saved yet bro ! Jesus had not gone to Heaven yet.Of course catholics don't accept the authority of Jesus Christ
2 Corinthians 6:14
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
Yeah and Peter denied the Lord 3 times he was so "rock solid"!
Nobody that has the Holy Spirit thinks that
