Answer the following questions if they apply to you, please:
  1. Why do you follow the twenty-seven books of the NT that the Catholic Church declared inspired?
  2. Why do you follow Martin Luther's canon of the OT with seven excluded books?

1. The canon of the NT was established LONG BEFORE the Catholic Church came into existence. Proof -- the Aramaic Peshitta.
2. Christ established by His own authority the OT canon with 24 books (corresponding to our 39 books) long before Martin Luther.

In view of this the Catholic Church can only take credit for including apocryphal books in the OT. And even Catholic scholar Jerome was not too keen about this nonsense.

Peter affirmed Pauls writings were scripture and Paul gave the Apostles the right hand of fellowship as well.

2 Peter 3:15-16
Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. 16 He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction
