I have to say this about that. The KJV reads a bit differently on that verse, which to me is more accurate.
Rev 3:10
10 Because thou hast kept the word of My patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
KJV
The idea is actually about those who keep His Word in patient endurance.
And that affects how that "I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation" is meant.
It doesn't mean physical escape, because Jesus showed in Matthew 24:29-31 and Mark 13:24-27 that His coming to gather His saints will be AFTER the tribulation, not prior.
So to be kept from the "hour of temptation" simply means... NOT being tempted.
Tempted by what?
By the "strong delusion" of 2 Thessalonians 2. What's that about? It's about the coming of a false one that will exalt himself in a new Jewish temple in Jerusalem, proclaiming himself as God, and over all that is worshiped or that is called God. That means over ALL religions on earth.
That is actually the MAIN EVENT for the coming tribulation time. Christ's Church will go through that temptation. But if we OBEY Lord Jesus' warning to not believe on that coming false one that is to work great signs and wonders, that IF possible, would deceive even His very elect, then we won't be TEMPTED by that false one who comes first playing Christ (see Matthew 24:23-26; 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4; Revelation 13:11-14).
Thus by God's Word we have been warned specifically by Lord Jesus to not believe on that false one that comes first to play Him, in Jerusalem. Obeying Jesus on that is how we are not subject to the "hour of temptation", meaning NOT deceived like the rest of the world will be (Revelation 13:4-8).
