So it's okay to murder and things like that?I will define a Christian. A Christian is someone that has faith in Jesus Christ, plus nothing else. No laws, no works, no religion.

Where did I say that? All that come to Christ to be saved by him are given the Holy Spirit. It is the work of the Holy Spirit to produce good works and the Christian life.So it's okay to murder and things like that?
You said, "I will define a Christian. A Christian is someone that has faith in Jesus Christ, plus nothing else. No laws, no works, no religion." You said "No laws." So I asked, "So it's okay to murder and things like that?" I guess I was looking for a yes or no answer.Where did I say that? All that come to Christ to be saved by him are given the Holy Spirit. All that are indwelt with the Holy Spirit will live godly lives, but that does not justify them, and they will still sin.You said, "I will define a Christian. Why will they still sin?All that are indwelt with the Holy Spirit will live godly lives, but that does not justify them, and they will still sin.
If a Christian has no law, how do they know they sin? Didn't you say upthread that Christians still sin? What is your definition of sin?I will define a Christian. A Christian is someone that has faith in Jesus Christ, plus nothing else. No laws, no works, no religion.
Sin is the transgression of God's law, 1 John 3:4. God's law demands perfect obedience or death. I have no desire to be under it or subject to it. This is why I believe that, "Christ is the end of the law for righteousness" Romans 10:4.If a Christian has no law, how do they know they sin? Didn't you say upthread that Christians still sin? What is your definition of sin?
Because their Adamic bodies have not been redeemed yet, Romans 8:23.Why will they still sin?
Why should we choose to sin?Because their Adamic bodies have not been redeemed yet, Romans 8:23.
There are multitudes of professing Christians that do not believe that Jesus is the Lord.
That's correct, religion is man trying to appear, and act, holy.Religion is a work of the flesh and is under the judgment of God.
Revelation 19 has not happened yet brother. The war has already been won and Jesus is Lord, Revelation 19:16. All that we are looking for now is the return of Jesus.
The "great tribulation" that Jesus warned us about is still yet to happen.Everything has been fulfilled. Jesus has defeated sin, death and the devil and now sits in heaven as "The King of Kings and the Lord of Lords" Revelation 19:16. It's over, it's finished. We are waiting for the return of Jesus, plus nothing. The tribulation period has ALREADY happened. Tens of thousands of Christians were persecuted and murdered by Ceasar. All of the apostles died violent deaths except for John. They died because they would not worship Ceasar.
Because they have not overcome all temptations. Did not Jesus overcome all of his temptations? How are we able to become like him and thereby overcome all of our temptations? Why will they still sin?
Mr 10:27 | And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. |
First we must understand what sin is. Then we must resist the temptation to sin.Because they have not overcome all temptations. Did not Jesus overcome all of his temptations? How are we able to become like him and thereby overcome all of our temptations?
Can God in us overcome the temptations, which when we yield to them lead us to sin?
Mr 10:27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
And will not God first help us to know what to resist [sin] and then if we ask help us so that we do not sin? What is the purpose of the Holy Spirit?First we must understand what sin is. Then we must resist the temptation to sin.
I think lots of people still haven't figured out what sin is.
God will help us if we let him. Paul told us to pray constantly (1 Thessalonians 5:17). And we must understand praying is just as much about listening to God as it is talking to him.And will not God first help us to know what to resist [sin] and then if we ask help us so that we do not sin? The only thing that Christians are looking for is the return of Jesus. The tribulation period has already happened, Revelation 1:1. The early church went through it.The "great tribulation" that Jesus warned us about is still yet to happen.
Whatever kind of Church it is you're going to, you need to run immediately from it, because there's a lot of Bible they are skipping that is especially important for the times we are living in.
God does not speak to us in an audible voice. Beware of voices. God only speaks to us through the scriptures.God will help us if we let him. Paul told us to pray constantly (1 Thessalonians 5:17). And we must understand praying is just as much about listening to God as it is talking to him.
As I believe Jesus is God in flesh, so I believe the Holy Spirit is what we call God when we converse with him.
