No one said Russia invaded the disputed territories they had peace keepers there, they invaded Georgia Proper

This is just giving Russia an excuse to try get themselves a bit closer to Iran in an attempt to come to the aid of their ally Iran when the US strikes there. IMO the US sponsored Georgia's attack on South Ossetia to provide the cover for a move into the Black Sea to counter the Russians' response to the coming attacks on Iran.
