My beloved KJV says:
Mat 18:21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
Mat 18:22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

That would be 490 times...
But I suspect that isn't exactly what the Lord meant.

the barrd,

You seem to have a real blockage when actually confronted with the gospel of Christ. Do you know what that blockage is? You cannot pick and choose only those verses you like and throw the rest in the garbage.

2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV, "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that [Yahoshua the] Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?"
Because I tell you that you are no better than anyone else here, suddenly, I have a "blockage"?
Did I miss the verse that says that you are holier than anyone else, and must be put on some kind of a pedestal? Can you show me where it says that you are any different than any other sinner?
What verse have I "thrown in the garbage"?
The Bible I have says that ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. It does not say "All except Zeke."
In other words, everyone here has sinned....Phoneman has sinned, Joyful has sinned, I have sinned, ATP has sinned, Mjrhealth has sinned....and yes, o great one...YOU have also sinned.
You are not better than anyone here.
Let me know when you figure that out...

Let me explain this to you.
ATP and I disagree on a point of doctrine.
He thinks one way, and I think another.
But he is civil about it. He thinks I am wrong, but he doesn't mock my screen name, or belittle me.
I think he is wrong, but I also do not mock him or belittle him.
Our dialogue may get heated at times, but you will find that both of us are civil to one another.
We are Christians....not spoiled children in a playground.

That is why I say I have more respect for ATP...although I still think he is wrong...than I have for you.

Zeke,
You want to brag about your position in the Body of Christ...but I tell you that the Body already has a Head, and it is not you.
I do not claim to be any more than perhaps a toenail...but you seem to think you are some big important bit...and, poor fella, no one really appreciates your function.
If I had to say just which part of the body that sounds like, I'm thinking you would probably be disgusted.
Think about it.

You did not hear His voice telling you that "gay is okay". He wouldn't say one thing in His Word, and then whisper something else in your ear.
That had to have been the voice of some stranger.
His sheep won't hear the voice of strangers.

Zeke may not be worried about you...but I am.

This is another inappropriate question. The children are not equal to adults. God is just and fair and merciful. Your question is disregarding God is love.
Mat 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Mat_19:14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

Luk_11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

You see children trust their father without doubt, They know their father loves them, they know their father will help them, they know there father will always be there for them, they know if they have a problem they can run to Him, they expect Him to always be there for them. when He makes a promise they expect Him to Keep it, if they mess up they expect Dad to help them clean up, and so it is with Gods children.

What is the seal that is placed upon us by the Holy Spirit? It's found in Isaiah 8:16 KJV:

"BIND UP THE TESTIMONY, SEAL THE LAW AMONG MY DISCIPLES."

Those who deliberately break the Ten Commandments with no intention of learning to walk in accordance with them are not sealed with anything of God because that which God seals His disciples is the law, according to the Bible.

Why do you hate them so much, is their sin any worse than yours, or is it you would rather God look at them so He cant see you??? You are no better than them in Gods eyes, all sin is worthy of death, even yours...

Pursue them all you like, it wont make one dot of difference except you have cast aside Grace the only way to salvation, and why is it that the law keepers are the ones that will "deliberately " break them without them, dont you have Love..??

Joyful,

I haven't concerned myself with the SDA's viewpoint on soteriology. I oppose their teaching on Torah observance and on this thread specifically against sabbath keeping. They do not teach Christian doctrines, nor the gospel of Christ. They teach the gospel of man. Phoneman in particular has blasphemed Christ and speaks against the Blood of Christ. He's only one step away from blaspheming the Holy Ghost, if he hasn't already crossed the line, from which there is no return. Why this is not abundantly clear to others baffles me, except they be reprobates as well. Or, they have failed to avail themselves of the information posted on this very thread. I've posted a entire 5-part teaching, early in the posts, that explains what the Bible has to say about Sabbath Keeping. It is not difficult to follow. The problem is, few have any desire to commit themselves to reading and studying it. And if they do, they read it with blinders on and refuse to accept the biblical teaching on this subject because it makes them uncomfortable. So, they banter back and forth on this thread ad infinitum and they go to bed at night very happy and satisfied because they filled themselves with junk food from the local AM/PM Mart and they are very accustomed to junk food. Real food makes them sick, rather than the other way around. To those this applies to, this one's for you.

Zeke25
I have listened to SDA's teachings many times. They are concerned of being godly in everything they do and it shows it over all. They take Jesus' teachings seriously. That's why I respect them even though I have a few things I cannot agree on.

Their fruit is showing as godly, in over all.

Jesus says we know them by their fruit which is what we practice.

Most of us when we become an adult, we forsake our child like faith. We make excuses to pursue our selfish desires. It is not acceptable to God.

So your commensally is inappropriate because you are disregarding God's fairness and just.. It is not love to accept our selfish and wicked desires.

Bard I could tell you so many wonderfull things about Jesus, about His beautiful Smile, how He even Jokes a little, how He is always with us, about His love and compassion, but you like so many christians would never believe me, because so few are aware of His presence and so I share my testimony with very few.

Rev_3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

He was let in over 30 years ago.

Phone man, if you had a 2 year old child being toilet trained, would you beat them to death if they made a mess or would you clean them up and so its ok, keep trying.

Jesus did not come full of grace and with a stick, and God is not like men, but so few know Him because they wont take things to God.

You see phoneman based on your rules we are all condemned even you.

I wonder what it is like to condemn the whole word to death...

But soon like Saul you will have your Damascus encounter with Christ, it must be so, and like Saul your eyes will be opened.

In all His Love
There is no grace for the child who deliberately takes off his diaper and smears the walls with its contents over and over and over, though the child has been told time and time again not to do it - only the "rod of correction applied to the seat of learning" which lack of diaper cushion will be for him most regrettable. Grace is proffered again and again to the child who strives to learn to use the toilet but fails, perhaps repeatedly, to do so.

Likewise, there is no grace for those who refuse to learn to walk in the Ten Commandments.

Thank you.

Now I understand why you fight against phoneman so hard.

I don't believe Jesus teaches OSAS.

I am not so sure about the Sabbath low but I don't fight against who practice it.
Zeke is either a Caiaphas or an Aaron, the one deliberate in his rebellion and the other weak and confused but sincere. God be the judge. All I can say is that there is ALWAYS hope for the latter, and therefore let's hope he is such and treat him as such. :)

Again are you married to Jesus or the Law, are you under grace or works of the LAw?? Are you as perfect as He is?? Why do you trample the FREE gift of grace underfoot, so you can have the law, why is it you are are supposed to be the Bride of Christ choose to be unfaithfull and sleep with the LAw.

I think you too should read about David, a man after Gods own heart and how He broke the law, and how God still keeps His promise to Him even to this day. God is not unfaithfull like men.

David repented. You are dismissing this fact.

David did not insist on staying in his sinful condition.

You guys spreading false gospel that it is ok to sin because Jesus died for our sins.

The Bible has this to say about those who teach OSAS which promises eternal life to those who choose to continue breaking the Ten Commandments:

"Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:" - Ezekiel 13:22 KJV

Grace is proffered only to them who daily surrender their will to God, though they may often have to weep at the foot of the Cross in repentance because of missteps in their learning to "walk as He walked".

Conversely, there is absolutely no grace for the stubborn, rebellious, recalcitrant, deliberate sinner who claims that He has Jesus as his Savior yet refuses to make Him his Lord.

Do not make a false dichotomy between Jesus and the Law. By Jesus, "Mercy and truth (Grace and Law) have met together, righteousness and peace (Law and Grace) have kissed each other." Psalms 85:10 KJV

The Ten Commandments are a transcript of Jesus' character and anyone who loves Jesus will seek to manifest that same character; likewise, they who are of their father the devil will seek to manifest his character.

Who said anything about casting aside the grace of Jesus? It is only by His grace that any of us can obey His law, my friend!

Besides, Jesus won't say on the Day of Judgment, "Depart from Me, ye who practice the law." He will say, "Depart from Me, ye who practice LAWLESSNESS."
