Jesus said:
23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.
Does this mean Satanic/Demonic "magic spells/witchcraft/etc" is real?
People can do Satanic/Demonic rituals and summon the Devil to do "signs and wonders" ?
They can start pandemics and disasters using Satanic/Demonic magic spells and rituals?
That Matthew 24:23-26 Scripture is about Christ's warning of a coming pseudo-Christ to Jerusalem with the power to work great signs and wonders, and will claim to be Him. Jesus said to not believe it.
The KJV "false Christs" in that Matthew 24:24 verse is the Greek word
pseudochristos, which is from two words,
pseudo which means false, and
Christos which means Christ. In my opinion, the KJV made a poor translation with "false Christs", because the context of the 23-26 verses is about a singular false Christ. Dr. James Strong in his Strong's Exhaustive Concordance translated
pseudochristos to 'a spurious Messiah', which is in the singular tense.
Apostle Paul in 2 Thessalonians 2 was warning about that same above event that Jesus warned for the very end of this world. Apostle John in Revelation 13 also warned about that coming Antichrist working miracles to deceive.
Christ's Book of Revelation actually reveals that coming pseudo-Christ, spurious Messiah, "man of sin", "son of perdition", "another beast", "dragon", etc., will be Satan himself in plain view here on earth, in Jerusalem, working those great signs and wonders to deceive the whole world.
So does Satan have the power to work those great signs and wonders? Yeah, and our Heavenly Father is using him to do a pruning at the end of this world of those who refuse to listen to The Father and His Son per His Word of Truth. This is what Paul was talking about also in 2 Thessalonians 2 about the "strong delusion" upon those who love not the Truth.
