I understand your belief. Saved by grace through faith, continued salvation hinges on observing the law, and, to you nigh on perfect obedience to the law
Paul tells believers they are not under law but under grace. Being under law is being under righteousness of obeying the law. Your view is the same as sda members. You are not under law as long as you perfectly obey the law.
The fist casualty of your belief is love. Let me tell you, and I have decades of experience. No one who preaches nigh on sinless perfection lives up to what they preach, and they cast aside the second greatest commandment in doing so. Do you even try and obey each and every command of Christ? No you do not.
Not in the slightest. Obeying your conscience where the moral laws are written is the New Covenant. Not the Old.
The reason why the Old Covenant didn't make the Jews righteous was because they had to keep them in opposition to their nature. They still had sin in their nature. Romans 7:17 But now,
it is no longer I who do it, but
sin that dwells in me.
Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ has freed me from the law of SIN and death.
We walk after the Spirit not the flesh.
WE OBEY BECAUSE WE HAVE NO SIN. THE LAWS OF GOD ON OUR HEARTS IS WHO WE ARE, AND NO LONGER IN OPPOSITION
