You can bet it was not LUKE warm either . The lambs indeed look out for one another . THus allow me some parting words , for i say@Taken There seems to have been a really warm spirit among the believers at Antioch...
When you teach, as you DO, and have done today, and many times on this forum, that you can lose your salvation, then you just taught that you keep it., or not.
So, that is YOURSELF, in charged of going to heaven, or not.
That is =NO FAITH IN CHRIST to get you to heaven. That is SELF SAVING, = here is what I DO, so that I dont lose my Salvation.
That is not Faith in Christ, that is faith in self.
Here is your reality check.
If you do not believe that Christ keeps you saved, then you have no faith in Christ at all., and are pretending you do.
So, the second that you no longer believe that Christ keeps you saved,.. your faith has become in SELF, = Here is how i keep myself saved".
Here is the Heresy... "yes, Christ keeps me saved, if i do this, (works) and dont do that =(self saving).
Ahd that is what you just taught again, in the post i responded to...
Believe it, and know that you'll do it again, until you have faith in Christ to keep you saved.
If that happens you wont be here trying to ruin a Real Christians Faith, with your LEGALISM.
No...that would only be true of one who has not passed from death to life. That is not salvation. That is the misunderstanding of those who have not rightly divided the word of truth, and a lie of Satan.I agree that Peter was talking about salvation, but not as an end result. That person was as "saved" as you are right now, but got entangled in sin again. We are warned against throwing away their salvation, because they will be thrown away themselves.
John 15:6
If anyone does not remain in Me, he is thrown away like a branch and dries up; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
Act_2:27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.Scripture reference please.

One thing here we do agree on which shocked me at the time I realized it, was that I had been in Christianity for 30 years attending church, and believing I was saved, but I wasn't. It wasn't until I was filled with the Holy Spirit when I was 30 that I became born again.No...that would only be true of one who has not passed from death to life. That is not salvation. What you quoted was Jesus telling those who had not yet been born again of the Spirit to endure until that time, which had not yet come.
What you quoted was Jesus telling those who had not yet been born again of the Spirit to endure until that time, which had not yet come.
Behold, what do you think the warning of Paul means when He commanded "Do not quench the Spirit."
And Paul says to "pray without ceasing".....yet, that would be 24/7, and no sleep in between.
So, verses, if you try to make them all extremely LITERAL to fit some doctrine you are creating, then you turn yourself into a theological pretzel.
"quench the Spirit"......is not to get it out of you, 1stcenturylady.
Jesus said he will never leave you.....and that is Christ in you, the hope of Glory.
He's not going anywhere, because you behaved badly, or lost your faith, for a few years.
The next part, or verse says what not to do with Prophecies..
So, this is a person who is either become faith broken and has lost their spiritual eye.. In other words, cant discern, can't hear the Spirit's leading.
They can also kill (quench) the "spirit" in a Church that is spirit filled by causing chaos in the membership by spreading cult theology.
It can be that a person , who is born again, who is "fallen from Grace", and is now a self saving Legalist, will become so deceived that they get a carnal fleshly adrenaline type RUSH, in their body, and their mind becomes excited when they teach lies from a Pulpit and on a Forum.
They have so quenched the spirit in themselves, that they now believe that the feeling they get by teaching lies, is the spirit.
heart of flesh.
Why do you fight God given actual holiness? Not fake holiness while you keep sinning?
You say i have fake holiness, while you are here trying to ruin peoples faith with your self saving legalism that pretends to be faith in Christ.
Listen.....I dont "fight holiness", and i am not under the law, so, i also dont fight sinning.
Christ is the end of the law for my Righteousness., since the day i first believed, and that was a while back
I live here in my discipleship.. "Christ always gives me the Victory".
Praying is communication, and half of that is listening.
The point in 2 Peter 2 is that person became entangled in sin, not that he was ever freed again. What do you believe about a person like that?
read the verse.
"pray WITHOUT CEASING"...>without ever stopping..
So, if you read that LITERALLY,= that means, you never stop, even to sleep.
This means you have to carefuly look at the verses, and discern not only if they are symbolic, but if they are literal......then how literal based on comparing scripture with scripture.?
The TRADEMARK of a heretic, is they that have their one verse, or 2, and they try to bend and contradict the bible with them, according to what they have decided., or based on what their cult has led them to believe.
And, Demas is your answer.
Paul never said he was not born again, and Paul never said he was not going to heaven.
Paul would know., and Paul has a good vocabulary, and there are a few good translations of the Greek, and nowhere in any real bible does Paul say you can lose the Holy Spirt, or that Jesus will leave you.
And why doesn't Paul say that anywhere in the NT?
Because it can't ever happen.
Listen, God saved you when you were ungoldly......so, the blood of Jesus and the new birth in the Spirit that changed a believer to born again SAINT can't be undone.
The born again Spirit, is in Christ, and there is no sin there..
Your body is dead because of sin, and you mind is not born again.
So, the "sin" issue, is not related to a Christian, as you think.......and that is why Romans 4:8, says that God does not charge sin to you, if you are born again.
He can't.
Why? Its because Jesus has paid for them all, and the born again exit in God, and there is no sin found there and there is no Moses Law found there.
= That's the KOG.....where the born again exist.
I have told it here a few times...but after a good, hardworking, but wonderful childhood, then marriage, kids in the baby carriage, my own business, followed by being a victim of crime then years of downward spiral, loosing everything, and coming to the end of myself...one night, having no religious background, I thought to cry out to God--if there was such a thing. I didn't know. I just started talking, confessing that I knew I was at that place where people take their own lives, but I wasn't going to do it, and told him if he was listening, he could have my life, he could just take it. That if I didn't get some answers about what life was even for if it all just ended with failure upon failure...I only had one thing left that had not failed me--and I would go live in the woods. One thing here we do agree on which shocked me at the time I realized it, was that I had been in Christianity for 30 years attending church, and believing I was saved, but I wasn't. It wasn't until I was filled with the Holy Spirit when I was 30 that I became born again.
How about you? Do you know for sure you are born again. Did your life change? Did you receive gifts of the Spirit? Could you hear God voice in a personal relationship with Him? Did you have power not to sin? Did you continually grow in the Spirit after that? My life changed 180 degrees on the evening of Wed. Feb. 9, 1977. It was a sobbering thought to realize if I had died I would have been one of those in Matthew 7:21-23. Yikes! I'd like to hear your testimony. If you'd rather PM me, that's fine.
Luke 11:24-26Are you available to quote the verse you are talking about? Or are you at work. Tell me if you need to do it later. We can't have a good discussion without foundations to stand on.
@Heart2Soul As Romans 3.23 says, 'all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God'.As posted above can anyone claim they have not committed ANY of those sins?
Scripture says if you commit one of them then you're guilty of all.
