Ummmm, it was their source of WATER, so it was not solely a spiritual manifestation. Manna was also spiritual food - but it was actual, physical food.
The point here is that it is a Christiphany - just like the Burning Bush. Jesus is not an Angel - nor is He a Rock.
He is the Theanthropos - the God Man (John 1:1-14"
And if Jesus was not God...then why did not God strike him for saying
"8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”"
Jesus was never in Rev 1:8 ever..... have you ever read Rev 1:1 ? Who gave Jesus Christ this Revelation?
A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place. And he sent his angel and presented it in signs through him to his slave John, (Revelation 1:1)
And it's a good thing that it's not your wife or YOU who judges me - but the Lord (1 Cor. 4:4).And Many Catholics as well.
My wife likes to say it’s about relationships, not religion (doctrine). That’s the essence of it: love God with your all and others as yourself. Everything else is non-essential.
You want others to get your religion (doctrine), making an obstacle to having a relationship with Christ as your master.
Friend, you have made an IDOL out of your doctrine. I’ll pray for you.
Ummmm, ACTUAL WATER came from the Rock which which they drank and watered their livestock (Num. 20:8-11).Notice this verse "Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea, all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, all ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ." (1 Corinthians 10:1-4)
He still thinks it's literal. The verse is talking about Salvation with those baptized into Moses some translations say unto Moses. They were Saved. Yet they died in the wilderness for refusing to listen to the angel at (Exodus 23:20-21)
Jesus even bought this event up, telling them their forefathers ate the bread but still died. So Jesus said to them: “Most truly I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have No Life in yourselves." (John 6:53)
How can we do that? Peter said to them: “Repent, and let each one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the free gift of the holy spirit. (Acts 2:38)
As for making an "idol" out of doctrine - I simply obey what the Lord teaches.
And your total inability to address the points I made in post #135 is noted . . .
Once again - Rom. 14:1 is about NON-essentials.No, you do not simply obey wha the Lord teaches. If you did you, you would put Romans 14:1 into practice.
I did address post #135 - just not the way you want.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the LORD (God Jehovah Isa 44:6; Gen 17:1; Exo 6:3 ), which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. (Rev 1:8)
Translators not only removed God's Name but also removed GOD from latter revisions. Replacing it with LORD because that's what they did.... and that deception did not go far enough so they took LORD and made it into a little Lord ... (Rev 1:8)
Trinitarians tried to mimic the theology of the nameless trinity generic formula. Names were not to be added but rather a removal of them. The removal of the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ was under attack. That attack continues today. (Rev 1:8) at one time did have a Name in it but can you guess whose it was?
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith Jehovah God which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
Switched to:
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the LORD God which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the LORD which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
Switched to:
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
Switched to:
The Father and Jesus both named Jehovah!!!!!!!!
Once again - Rom. 14:1 is about NON-essentials.
REALLY??Right. You are wrongly categorizing what is essential and I think there is a special place in hell for those who put obstacles to one going to Christ.
"Blessed Be the God and Father OF our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Peter 1:3)
Peter claims, God resurrected this Jesus, and of this we are all witnesses (Acts 2:32)
“That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.” (Psalm 83:18)
Yes The Father is Jesus God and Father- He even said so. but that does not take away from Jesus absolute Deity as Scripture declares!
Isaiah 44:6
King James Version
6 Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
Two people named Jehovah are speaking here!
REALLY??
Soooooo, matters of salvation, what happens to our soul after death and the nature of God are NOT essential matter of the faith?
This is a really perverted view of Scripture.Exactly! Following Jesus is the only essential matter. Stop putting obstacles to people following the master and Savior.
