This one fellow I watched on YouTube listed several Bible passages that the
SDA believes are true and that normal Christians also believe are true. So
why are Adventists and normal Christians at odds?

The rub is that although SDA believes the same passages are true; Ellen G.
White interprets those passages differently than normal Christians.

The same problem exists with Jehovah's Witnesses. They too incorporate the
very same Bible passages in their religion as normal Christians; but the
Watchtower Society's interpretations of those passages are different than
normal Christians.

For example: the Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Jesus rose from the dead
within three days and three nights the same as normal Christians believe.
But their concept of his resurrection is different.

Normal Christians believe Jesus' crucified dead body was restored to life
whereas the Witnesses believe his crucified dead body is still dead and its
remains are squirreled away on earth in a condition, and a location, known
only to God. Long story short: Jesus' resurrection didn't restore him to lfe as
a man; rather, it restored him to life as an angel.

EVERY Christian denomination understands some passages differently than other denominations. That’s why they are different denominations in the first place.

I cant remember every sin I have committed, but I just asked the Lord to forgive me for all of them when I was saved, as I am sure all Christians do.If I sin now, I do the same. I think you are pretty off base with your stuff.

I highly recommend that if you would happen to Sin, Do the same thing with it that God does—- put it on the Cross.....and leave it there....

God will Chastise you for Sinning if you are one of His Children.... But speaking from a Heavenly perspective , all of your sins are already
forgiven even before you ask...God has thrown them into the deepest depths of the ocean as far as the East is from the West.....a place where He “ Remembers them no more”.....As a Believer ,I can’t go to Hell for any sin I commit and guess what? Surprise! Knowing THAT is my incentive to not sin... ain’t Christianity “crazy?” It is......in the best interpretation of that word.... Christianity sure ain’t what ALL of the World and even most “ Christians” think that it is..I know the Truth—- it has set me free....just like promised.....

"And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel." - Mar. 1:15

"I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish"
- Luk. 13:3, 5

Try this—— every time you see that word, “ Repent” , substitute the words” Turn to God” because that is the only thing one will ever do that Saves them.... as I said, the Bible NEVER says “ Repent Of your Sins TO GET SAVED “......”. The Bible DOES say that if You Turn ( Repent) to God , HE will TURN to you”

Jesus lamented that He could not save the Jews of His day because they would not TURN TO HIM....it makes sense that if you * DO* Turn to Him,He WILL Save you....
He never said He could not save them because they could not be sorry enough for their sins and then summon up the will-power to conquer all of the sins in their lives......

Repentance ( if you take that word to mean ‘ sorrow and regret’) can help LEAD to one’s Salvation ....but Salvation consists of putting one’s TOTAL Faith in the Blood Of Jesus Christ , Plus Nothing, to Save them....

Normal Christians are not biblical Christians. Normal Christians today are worldly Christians and can not be differentiated from normal unbelievers. Christians should never be normal. They should be peculiar, different, content, patient, loving, obedient, joyful and abstemious. That ain't normal. But it's biblical.
Also, I would like you to offer some examples where Ellen White's interpretations of scripture are...
A. Original with her
B. Enforced on her church
C. Used as eyepieces through which adventists read the Bible.

With a little patience, and a little digging, the information you seek can be
found on YouTube.

For those who may not be aware: YouTube isn't just another version of MTV.

It was via YouTube that I repaired our microwave oven and my lawn mower,
addressed a computer problem, learned how to adjust guitar intonation,
toured Arches National Park and the Grand Canyon, learned how to properly
prepare acorns the Native American way, catch up on Carl Sagan's Cosmos
TV series, understand the meaning of e=mc squared, investigate L.Ron
Hubbard and Scientology, find out what went wrong at Chernobyl, enjoy
the sights and sounds of Burning Man, etc, etc, plus numerous documentaries.

YouTube has become my No.1 go-to source of information, entertainment,
and assistance related to just about anything and/or anybody I might fancy;
including Yoga and/or Falun Gong (a.k.a. Falun Dafa)

Then you are in deep need of repentance.

YouTube is no replacement for scripture, prayer, thoughtful study, and real discipleship. YouTube is not your savior. Look to God before YouTube and other things of the world.

you are in deep need of repentance.

I am a Christian man-- one of Christ's male followers. It is forbidden for me
to accept spiritual counseling from women.

1Tim 2:11-14 . . Let a woman quietly receive instruction with entire
submissiveness. But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority
over a man, but to remain quiet. For it was Adam who was first created, and
then Eve. And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being
quite deceived, fell into transgression.

In other words; as a rule: women are more susceptible to demonic
influences than men; and prone to leading men into error, like sheep to the
slaughter.

I recognize that there are exceptions to the rule, i.e. there are probably
some very competent women out and about. But in this case I am not given
the option of making my own decision. The Bible requires me to regard all
female spiritual counselors as potentially Satanic assets.

Now, maybe you are a devil and maybe you aren't, I don't know; but I am not
permitted to give you the benefit of the doubt. I must assume the worst about
you regardless. Same goes for Ellen G. White.

@Weber's Home, I pray that you come to put down the YouTube, and ever come closer to Christ. The one Savior of the World whom died for you, me Ellen White, and everyone else. Female and male a like. Learn how He loves & His Truths.

Slow your roll there!!!!!!Assume the worst because she's female? How dare you!! Here comes another misogynistic poster. What about Deborah, judge of Israel? Who was Jesus taught by? His mother. Who counseled you and took care of you when you grew up. Did you go to church as a youth? Who was your Sunday school teacher? And in class in school? Predominately women teachers.!!!

OH NO WEBER> You have been taught by women!!

Oh, the humanity!!!! You are forever stained!!!!

I was following you because I thought what you wrote about the Magi was cool. I didn't know that you place men above women. I sure hope you are not married. If so, I feel sorry for your wife. And you need to remember, if you have kids, who will be teaching them during their formative years. Yep. you guessed it. Females. Time to unfollow you

"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." Gal 3:28.

BTW,Jane is LDS. She could probably give a hang about Ellen White.

And Jane, now we know why we thought this guy was SUCH a snotz!

1Tim 2:8-9 . . I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up
holy hands, without wrath and evil thoughts.

Lifting up one's hands is the posture of an anxious beggar seeking charity
and compassion. Holy hands are loyal hands. Other kinds of hands should be
kept at one's side till such a time as they qualify as true blue, thru and thru.

The Greek word for "wrath" is orge (or-gay') which means: hot desire. Orge
is sometimes translated anger, indignation, and vengeance. The idea is that
Christ's followers should never pray out of spite and/or use prayer as a tool
to hurt somebody's feelings.

That is the ugliest abuse of the privilege of prayer that I can possibly
imagine. In my opinion, people who pray out of spite are no different than
slanderers, witches, sorcerers, and voodoo priests. Especially annoying are
people who can't speak with a civil tongue in their heads, and then have the
nerve to say "you're in our prayers"

That's about discerning as a train driver ignoring stop signals because the person desperately warning there's a truck on the line is a woman driver and not a railway employee.
Jane absolutely correctly said that scripture is the source of your faith and practice. You tube does not replace your relationship with Jesus. But hey, if you prefer to go to the enemies of Adventism for your information, then have at it.

This @Webers_Home is the same fella I used to converse with several years ago on the subject of hell and eternal torment. He posted pages and pages of articles espousing the absolute excellence of eternal torment as just, kind, righteous, holy, and a perfect reflection of the character of God. All of which could not be further from the truth. Mr Weber has some serious issues.

1Cor 11:3 . . But I would have you know, that the head of every man is
Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is
God.

It never seems to fail that sooner or later some clever sniper comes along
who actually attempts to shoot Paul's instructions out of the water by
quoting one of his statements from elsewhere.

"You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were
baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew
nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ
Jesus." (Gal 3:26-28)

They pit Paul against Paul in a clash of the Titans, only in this event, both
Titans are one and the same Titan. Yes, Christ is but one man's body rather
than many bodies, and everyone in his body-- regardless of their gender,
their race, and/or their socio-economic status --constitutes his one body;
but then Jesus and God are one also, yet there is a hierarchy in the Divinity
because "the head of Christ is God"

Gen 2:18 . .The Lord God said: It's not good for Adam to be solitary; I will
make a fitting helper for him.

The word for "helper" is from 'ezer (ay'-zer) which means: aid.

In other words: woman's true role is a supporting role rather than a leading
role. Women who clamor for equality with men have set themselves against
God's purpose for their very existence.

Outsiders often criticize the Bible for its sexism. Yes, it most certainly is
sexist, no doubt about it; but what's so bad about sexism when it was God
who established the position of the first-born is superior to the position of
the second.

1Tim 2:12-13 . . I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority
over a man; she must be silent. For Adam was formed first, then Eve.

what I have a problem with is your condescension.
And as for not being equal. --->"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." Gal 3:28.<-------- Written by the same pen as 1 Tim?WHOA!

I don't give a frog's about what you feel about women pastors, but you have no business thinking someone is a devil just because that person is female. That's not very Christlike.
