But he was a fearless hunter of wild game. Why did he need to be a drama queen to demand food when Jacob was his mummy's boy and not as outgoing as Esau?

It was implied that Hairy came back empty-handed (from a hunt) while Underhanded was making stew. It was already made (and Red was too impatient to make his own).

"Outgoing" was a relative term. Underhanded had an extended wrestling match with God, later. ;)

(That is well-supported, but not verbatim anywhere. And it means that I can call Esau a "drama queen," to use the modern vernacular.)

All books of bible were lead to Jesus, from Deuterocanonical books also refers to Jesus. From the book of Wisdom also lead us to Jesus. Even the Book of Enoch was also completing the mistery of fallen angels in the day of Enoch, where the book of Enoch was separated from the main bible but it still spoke the truth along with main bible. Jude himself believes in Enoch (Jude 1:14). No need to rewrite the bible (Revelation 22:18-19), let the Holy Spirit reveal to us who believes in Jesus name (Daniel 12:4).

That is the unique thing about the Bible. No matter how much you study it, you have to keep going back for more. It never gets boring. Sort of like peeling an onion layer by layer.

I started studying the Bible over sixty-five years ago, when
I was only 12 years of age, but after all these years of serious study, I feel as if I am just a mere beginner.

I just purchased a new Inductive NASB study bible and am trying to familiarize myself with it. And, I also ordered another book written and published, author is one of our very own beloved sisters on here. But, I won't out her unless she is okay with that lol.

My favourite is the Ryrie NASB. Scholars generally agree that the NASB is the most accurate literal translation of the Bible.

Well now, isn't that a sad commentary about the state of Christianity today. Why do some Christians turn away from the hard teachings?! It's all or nothing with God IMHO.

We seem to be in the prophesied Laodicean Church age, the final state of the church, one of total apathy. :-(

From the beginning, the Hebrew word for God, is plural, so the literal translation of Gen 1 is ""In the beginning the Gods created the heavens and the earth." "Then the Gods said, “Let there be light” etc.

Then we have multiple Holy Spirits, like the Seven Spirits which were sent to the seven churches Rev 1:4;

the " Seven Lamps of Fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God." Rev 4:5;

and also the Seven Spirits which emanate from the throne and the Lamb which had been slain, who are sent forth into all the earth. Rev 5:6: And those are only the ones who have been revealed to us. Certainly there is much more we don't know about.

It doesn't make sense to limit an infinite God, to a limited man-made construct in a 3-in-1 box.

Seems to me every time they change the bible they change God, God never changes, neither does His word no matter how men corrupt it.( not talking bible here, His Word is Spirit it cannot change)

Translating names [instead of transliterating them] would not adversely affect Biblical accuracy, but it would likely have a negative affect on its readability.
