Sins of the church

Quiet amazed at how long the homosexual post got, so I thought I woul bering up something more important. Since Christians are supposed to show Jesus to the world and be kights in the darknes, i thought just maybe they would be humble enough to discuss such an important matter. Ill start the list, remember no sin is worse than any other.

Firstly, there is a sin greater than all those, the unpardonable and eternal sin, read Mark chapter 3.

Secondly, can I please ask you a question.... Do you believe that a person who continues to willfully sin, for example, deceive people, rob people, act in porn movies, kill people, etc, that they can still inherit eternal life and be saved if they refuse to repent and continue to willfully sin without remorse or repentance? Yes or No?

I think the reason for that is because of the deep holiness of marital love that most people recognize, inwardly know and long for. Whether people actually experience the deep, hallowed oneness with another is unimportant; but I think it is very significant that most people recognize and long for that oneness with another human being. The fact that God declares his hatred of homosexuality, amplifies responses to a topic that is already intimately bound with and offends this deep spiritual longing.

Sin is sin, but there will be greater and lesser judgments based on the sin (e.g., James 3:1, Mark 12:40).

churches Living under the law not Grace, False prophets, False Teachers, Watering down the word, and ect. i don't consider most of these church types as a true christian church because if a church is like this and has been like this for a while and the church is not honestly trying to be repentant and correct itself that these churches do more to hurt the gospel then to proclaim it.


i think we are getting sins of the church and individual sins combined. it is hard for a church to beome porn addicted, lie, divorce, and ect. a church can deal with these things and often does but it is not usually a church problem as a whole. when these sins that happen as a church occur, you will find if you take the time to study how it came about that it all stems from strife and division. if the church is united and in good communication with each other the devil has no weapon against the church other than strife and division. you will find that once a church is united and in good communication with each other there there is nothing that can stop this kind of church. but every once in a while the church comes to a stage that they take a great step out in faith because God tells them too and during times of this kind of vulnerablity the devil comes in and tries to disrupt the unity within the church. i have known people who have had this happen to their church twice and the first time they did not understand what was happening and had a division of their church. the second time they recognized it and dealt with it before it got out of hand. wolf in sheep's clothing is a tough thing to deal with but if not taken care of right away will cause all sorts of evil to befall the church. james 3:13-18

Individuals make up the Body of Christ, so each one of us is the Church, when we are together than we become the Body of Christ - that can not be stopped, yet "united" and "good communication" could describe any sort of religious institution that doesn't necessarily make up the Body of Christ. "United" and "good communication" could describe the Westboro Church, so this does not equate the True Church.

What does equate the True Church would be the workings of God within the people fellowshipping, the evidence of miracles, the maturing and growing toward holiness and godliness, and what we are told again and again - do not sin, the lack of sin would also be evidence.

If one part of the body sins - cut it off.

I am pretty sure sodomy is much much worse.

Genesis 19:24 "Then the LORD rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah--from the LORD out of the heavens." God could not find one upright man amongst the sodomites they even tried to break into the mans house over there filthy lusts. You better repent before you get to that point mjrhealth.

Regardless those people need the help and that is why they go to church, nobody is promoting pornography in the church.

MY son has a friend who is homosexual, apparently he has being like that ever since they have known him in primary school, so now am i to do the satan thing and point the finger and make accusations, or do I do the Jesus thing and be a friend and hope that throught that Christ can reach Him, What was it that Jesus said,

(Mat 23:23) Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

(19) For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. This is the wonderful message he has given us to tell others.
(20) We are Christ's ambassadors, and God is using us to speak to you. We urge you, as though Christ himself were here pleading with you, "Be reconciled to God!"

Sounds to me that the way to do this is the same way God does it - - - not counting their sins against them.

I think this has a lot to do with how we become like Jesus.

2 Corinthians 3:18 LITV
(18) But we all with our face having been unveiled, having beheld the glory of the Lord in a mirror, are being changed into the same image from glory to glory, as from the Lord Spirit.

I think the NLT helps with this one . . .

2 Corinthians 3:18 NLT
(18) And all of us have had that veil removed so that we can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the Lord. And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like him and reflect his glory even more.

As we see what God does in and through us, His glory in us, His glory becomes our glory as we become like Him.

But lest we become confused about where it comes from, He's put this treasure in clay pots.

I've always like the story of the woman who takes her two clay jars to the well, every day, day after day. She fills them both, but one is cracked, and leaks much of its water as she returns to her home. Finally, not able to keep quiet any longer, the cracked pot asks the woman,

Why, when every day I leak most of my water - I am cracked! - do you continue to carry me to the well, fill me up, and carry me back? When by the time you get here, I have hardly any water left!

She answered, Yes, you are cracked. And that allows the water to leak out. But that is what I want! Do you see the path? Do you see upon which side the beautiful flowers grow?

Thanks Marks and jiggfly, i guess there are some that are listening, Yes, I cant just watch, Jesus never turned anyone away, neither can I cant sit by and watch what Jesus would do, but I can only try do as HE would, a servant is not above His master.
