NONE of you has been able to prove Sola Scriptura from Scripture.
You can't because it's a FALSE doctrine of men . . .

Can we tell if a person produces good fruit or bad fruit without using the bible by listening to the holy spirit @robert derrick?

Then you have a different view from the one I responded to.

Or do you?

Have the Scriptures written from Genesis 1:1 - Rev 22:21, in any way been changed or corrected by God, through other men after John, since they were first written by His prophets and apostles?

Are all the writings from Moses to John in fact Scripture of God and all true of God. No errors of men written at all.

Anything other than yes/no is no answer here. This is not a trick question. It is a challenge to take a stand one way or the other. Any honest child would answer it yes or no.

Whether things were added by God later after John wrote Revelation is a separate question.

We are talking specifically about a statement that God has corrected and changed any Scriptures of the Bible, since it was first written by Moses in Genesis and then lastly by John In Revelation.

You raise a whole different issue.
I commented on what you actually said.
Please don't try & divert.

Dear mungo, I would agree that rejecting Sola Scriptura 'does not mean people are not searching for God.'

However, no one comes to God apart from SOLA SCRIPTURA - this is 100% Provable.

Well, nobody has proved it so far.
Would you like to try?

Fighting and bickering back and forth with each other does nothing good.

You are just supplicated your own predispositions of what you believe the be right and true then arguing back and forth is almost to the regard of children and taking toys from one another.

No judgment really you may do as you please but how amazing to watch and see.

Thank you for all of the above. If I were to take this case to court, your posts would be all the evidence I need to prove why scripture is the only safe foundation for truth.

How would my posts be all the evidence you need to prove why scripture is the only safe foundation for truth

and guess what church its not ( the RCC)
Which again is not the RCC
I'm glad we finally agree. I knew there was some vestige of correctness in you somewhere.
You're absolutely correct - it's NOT the "RCC".
I'm not even sure what "RCC" is.

I belong to the Catholic Church - the same Church built by Jesus and established by the Apostles.

That One True Church is His Body and His Body - no one and nothing else - not RCC, not Baptist, not Pentecostal, not Methodist, etc etc etc[/QUOTE]
Correct.
It's the Catholic Church - not any of those . . .

Correction: The Canon was declared "Official" by the ONLY Christian Church that existed.
NONE of your disjointed Protestant sects existed at the time - so enough with the whining . . .

no

And that's why you're an anti-Catholic - because you LIE.

We don't "worship" Mary or anybody but God.
As for "intermediaries" - the Bible COMMANDS us to be intermediaries for each other (James 5:16).
Rev. 5:8 shows the Elders in heaven bringing our prayers before God and Rev. 8:3-4 speaks of the Angels in heaven doing the same thing.

Read your BIBLE, dude . . .

please child, you are addressing those vastly superior to your own ilk. Dont insult our intelligence with RCC lies and half baked attempts to explain them away.

And yet - you adhere to HIS edited Canon of the OT.
WHY is that if you don't view him with Authority?

I don't view him as an authority because he has (had) no authority. He was aware enough to be one of the first to realize the heresy of the RCC and seek escape which is worthy of respect

Any spirit that does not agree with Scripture is not the Holy Spirit nor the Spirit of truth that guides into all truth of Scripture.

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God.

Good or bad fruit is also known by Scripture.

We can approve and take pleasure in and reject whatever we want. If it is according to scripture, we do well. If not, we err.

Also, good fruit is simple. It's good. Evil fruit is evil.

We don't need to go to Scripture to know that robbing a house is evil fruit. Though Scripture does say so.

The church today is anyone who is a believer.

The church today is not actually a material building but it is a spiritual body of believers.

You have some that are eyes, feet, legs, arms, hands.

There are many believers out there scattered they are in all types of denominations out there who have well meaning and true lovers of God and the Lord Jesus Christ out there, who live by the spirit.

Love those people who are Calvinist if that is what they believe but man they can be very hard on other people. It is unfortunate but it is part of the world of ' Christianity ' - Some people will believe that they are more special than other people when in retrospective reality all people are on the same page.

Believer or not believer. God is the savior of all people - especially those who believe.

Believer have the benefit of having God in their life but that doesn't make them more special than anyone else.

God is calling to and towards all people.

God is going to give to a believer or nonbeliever a spiritual resurrected body at the end of this life. There will be people who will be on the outside of the Kingdom and some will be going inside of the Kingdom of God.

In accordance to the Last Chapter of Revelation.

Some may think that am crazy, but would check me on it. That is my belief.

Far away from the idea of people going to hell to be burned forever.

Hell was the place of the dead; the covered place of the dead in which all people went to from Moses to Jesus.

Jesus over came hell and eventually Hell gave up its dead in the revelation.

All those souls from the old AGe came up and were judged. Some placed on the outside of the kingdom, some on the inside, some having a 'part' in the lake of fire which is now done and over with.

Along with Satan and his demons all of that old stuff is done and over with.

Amazing how people still hold on to such things as though they are still active today but that is the majority of people.

God bless them.

Sola Scriptura begins with confession from the heart that all things written by the prophets and the apostles from Moses to John are all Scripture of God: they are all true things of God, and no Scripture contradicts another.

Untrue. There are other writings between the prophets and the apostles from Moses to John that we do not accept as scripture.
Scripture of the Bible does not have flaws of men written therein.

Since we do not have the original writing we do not know that.

Therefore, anything not written in Scripture of the Bible that is not proven by Scripture, cannot be declared to be true of God: it cannot be rightly ministered as things of God for all to believe and obey.
That does not logically follow.
True that all that we accept as scripture is "true of God". But it does not logically follow that ONLY scripture is "true of God"

We can have all the personal beliefs that we want, that Scripture does not necessarily prove, but we cannot then preach them as true for all to believe and obey.

And if anything plainly contradicts Scripture, it is false. A lie of the devil. A vain imagination of men. And if ministered as true of God, it is the false traditions of men taught for doctrine of God, even as them that had Jesus crucified, because He called their traditions lies of the devil, and proved it by Scripture.
Yes, if anything contradicts scripture (properly understood and interpreted) then it is false.

Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. (2 Peter 2)

Scripture is not saying there are no private interpretations or personal beliefs about Scripture, of which there are plenty that Scripture may not exactly confirm. What Scripture is saying, is that we are not to then take those unproven personal interpretations of Scripture, and go about preaching them as Scripture: go about preaching our own righteousness for righteousness of God.

Then why do so many Protestants go about preaching personal and contradictory interpretations of scripture?
And who has the authority to determine what the correct interpretation of scripture is?

read up the thread and familiarize yourself if you have any questions and then present any specifics you may have left.

The points you proffered have been already properly refuted and you have brought nothing new as of this time.

I'm not inclined to engage in a never ending circular discussion so if you have something new and/or unique- raise it and I will correct you.

I have to repeat the following because you didn't address it the first time: "Now explain how I used Scripture out of context, please."

Edits:
Replaced "did not" with "didn't."
