For not only is it given unto us to believe in His name to but to SUFFER for His name sake .
We are Appointed unto tribulation in this world .
Tis even the righteous judgment of GOD that we suffer for the Kingdom .

God works all things together for the good of the lambs who love Him . Yes indeed .
Our faith grows during trials and afflictions . Yes indeed .

There are two groups of sheep Faith Jn 10:16 that make up the Christian faith. Do you know why some were selected to go to heaven?

They are the called jews and the called gentiles and they are one Flock in Christ .
And all lambs shall one day be forever with the glorious King who has saved them .
endure faithful to the end , unto death and ye shall recieve a crown of life . March onwards in the glorious Lord having all hope
and all affections above on Him . Prepare to be hated in this world , to suffer trials and great afflictions for HIS name sake .

Mortify the deeds of the flesh by the power of the Holy Ghost .
And let all who name the name of JESUS depart from inquity . Dead to sin , alive to GOD through Christ .

As I said, I don't believe it's a requirement, but we've all made mistakes, and mistakes result in suffering, unless the Lord steps in and prevents that from happening.

God is not going to make you suffer to give you a Gift.

The Cross is the bridge that leads to the family of God.
