Adam and Eve physically died that day. They went from incorruptible bodies to corruptible bodies. No, God did not create humans with a sin nature, not even in the womb. Adam recieved a corruptible body with a sin nature as punishment. God did say they would die that day. Most justify that they would eventually die. That was Satan's lie, by saying they would surely not die. Yet they did die. God even allowed at one point a corruptible body to live almost 1000 years. But at the Flood that 1000 years was shortened to 120 years. Now it is between 70 and 90. But this physical body is literally a dead body full of corruption, including a sin nature. That is what God promised Adam would happen, the day Adam disobeyed God.Did Adam and Eve have sinful natures before they gave into the devil's temptation to sin? Of course not! So you see you can sin without a sinful nature. And all of us have acted just like Adam/Eve in choosing to sin. It seemed pleasurable to us.
Most do not realize that God hates disobedience. That God sees the obedience of the Atonement on the Cross as the only redeeming quality mankind has. That quality is not inherent in this dead body. It is having faith in one's mind and accepting the Atonement of God, not any righteousness in us.
Adam's genetics did make us who we are. A copy of a copy of a copy all the way back to Adam. There is nothing redeemable in these physical bodies. Only the soul will move on, back into an incorruptible permanent body. Only a soul who accepted the Atonement of the Cross. The lie of Satan is that there is nothing wrong with these dead corruptible bodies.
We are more dead than those currently alive in Paradise. That is hard to accept, because this life is all we know. Faith and trust in God is literally all we have going for us. Obedience to God is a lot harder than trust and faith in God. One would have to stop thinking to fully be obedient to God. Paul said to bring all thoughts into subjection to God. That is total obedience.
