Did Adam and Eve have sinful natures before they gave into the devil's temptation to sin? Of course not! So you see you can sin without a sinful nature. And all of us have acted just like Adam/Eve in choosing to sin. It seemed pleasurable to us.
Adam and Eve physically died that day. They went from incorruptible bodies to corruptible bodies. No, God did not create humans with a sin nature, not even in the womb. Adam recieved a corruptible body with a sin nature as punishment. God did say they would die that day. Most justify that they would eventually die. That was Satan's lie, by saying they would surely not die. Yet they did die. God even allowed at one point a corruptible body to live almost 1000 years. But at the Flood that 1000 years was shortened to 120 years. Now it is between 70 and 90. But this physical body is literally a dead body full of corruption, including a sin nature. That is what God promised Adam would happen, the day Adam disobeyed God.

Most do not realize that God hates disobedience. That God sees the obedience of the Atonement on the Cross as the only redeeming quality mankind has. That quality is not inherent in this dead body. It is having faith in one's mind and accepting the Atonement of God, not any righteousness in us.

Adam's genetics did make us who we are. A copy of a copy of a copy all the way back to Adam. There is nothing redeemable in these physical bodies. Only the soul will move on, back into an incorruptible permanent body. Only a soul who accepted the Atonement of the Cross. The lie of Satan is that there is nothing wrong with these dead corruptible bodies.

We are more dead than those currently alive in Paradise. That is hard to accept, because this life is all we know. Faith and trust in God is literally all we have going for us. Obedience to God is a lot harder than trust and faith in God. One would have to stop thinking to fully be obedient to God. Paul said to bring all thoughts into subjection to God. That is total obedience.

We know that Adam and Eve's spirit died the day, that very day, that they ate of the forbidden tree. Their souls became preeminent (supreme) while their spirit died or sank very low. Probably died since that's what God said would happen.
This is also a lie. The spirit did not die that day. What literally died is the soul, because disobedience stripped the soul of both body and spirit. Only Adam and Eve retained their souls. They lost their incorruptible body for a corruptible body. They lost their spirit and became spiritually dead. The spirit of all humans remains in God's presence upon conception. In stead of our spirit, God grants His Holy Spirit that Seals us from the womb. Constant sin throughout our life hinders us from the effect of the Holy Spirit, because we are free to reject the Holy Spirit up until the point we leave this body, or we reprobate ourselves, removing any ability to choose eternal life. The Day of Redemption is at physical death. Those in Paradise no longer need to be sealed nor redeemed. They have passed from death into eternal life. They have recieved the first resurrection from this corruptible body to a permanent incorruptible body made by God, and not genetically recieved from Adam.

A "dead" spirit is a demon, because it has passed from being the direct image of God into the image of disobedience the very act of the devil, that God condemns. Pointing out that Adam's and Eve's spirit died and was demonized, not denominationalized, would condemn Adam and Eve to the Lake of Fire. We do not know Adam and Eve's eternal condition.

Only a reprobate mind, ie soul, Romans 1, can loose all ability to ask God for forgiveness and repent. God removes that ability to change one's mind. The loss of free will is not a good thing. Free Will is the ability to choose between life and death. The theology of total depravity is wrong. All humans have the ability to choose God over sin, or disobedience. One who looses that choice is made reprobate, loosing all ability to choose after a certain point. The Holy Spirit is withdrawn.

I’ll pick on Joel Osteen for a moment…when’s the last time he presented the Gospel? All he preaches is ‘feel good’ Christianity ‘tickling the ears’ of those who listen. How many have been saved at that church? Very few, I suspect.
I agree 100%

Feel good put your $$$ in the basket, as Osteen lives in a mansion, and needs a pack of elephants to carry about his untold wealth

When Oprah Winfrey is a repeated guest, you know Osteen has missed the mark

Sin and repentance are unknown to the teachings of Joel Osteen
