The gift of God is not faith. The Gift of God is the Cross of Christ that is the only SALVATION that God offers, that is the "GIFT of Salvation"

No cross is a gift to any man.

The cross of Jesus was not a gift to Himself, nor to any man that He would wish it upon.

The blood Jesus shed on His cross gives the gift of forgiveness of past sins, when confessed unto repentance.

And our cross we take up and bear is not a gift given to us, but is our necessary burden to bear in crucifying our old life of sin.

The reason some Christians say such unscriptural things, is because they don't care about the faith of Jesus given to us in the Scriptures, because they don't care about what is written on paper by any man, whether prophet or apostle, because they only care about what they say about their own salvation and justification by their own faith foolish alone.

Yes Jesus' shed flesh and blood, the ransom through salvation comes.

I've never heard anyone say the gift of the Cross. Who are the Christians that say it?

Ephesians 2:8 - For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God; 9 Not because of works [not the fulfillment of the Law’s demands], lest any man should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride in himself in it or take glory to himself.] (AMPC)

When we think of the Cross of Christ.
We understand that this is where God's Sacrifice for the redemption of the sin of the world was accomplished.
And, if Christ didn't pay for all your sin, then that means you have to... as who is left but you?

So, never believe that Christ's Sacrifice didn't pay for ALL sin, ALL.
Just ignore the Heretics who LOVE TO DENY that Christ on the CROSS is our SIN BEARER, forever.

This is why 2 Corinthians 5:19 teaches that God was in Christ, on the Cross, and has dealt with ALL sin.
Not some.
Not a few.
Not 4 or 5..
But "Jesus BECAME sin"..........not just a dozen....but for the SIN of the WORLD.

This is why Salvation is FINISHED, as if Jesus had not dealt with all sin, then the Gift of Salvation would not be completed.
It has been, as Jesus told us from the Cross...>"IT. (salvation) IS Finished... accomplished"

Lying about what is taught is standard for you. I am no more surprised by it. I understand you have no more capacity for truth. This is why I learned it is useless to engage you in anything doctrinal, nor having to do with being saved and justified by Christ.

A cross is not 'gifted' to anyone, nor is salvation: We take up our cross that we might obtain eternal salvation through obedience to Jesus.

The gift of God is the faith of Jesus to be forgiven and saved by, and Jesus Himself is the gift of God to the whole world for deliverance from sinning.

The blood shed on His cross is the free gift for forgiveness and redemption from sinning.

And the sins we crucify on our cross is our part in receiving and having the free gift of forgiveness and deliverance from past sins.

The lie of being 'gifted' the cross of Christ, leads to the lie of all work done by His cross, leaves no part for us in our salvation.

No cross does anything of itself: it is Jesus and we that bear our cross that does the good work of God.

That is correct. It was the finished work of the Cross that made it possible for God to freely offer THE GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE to all who would repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

That is why the Bible says that we are saved by grace through faith and that it [salvation] is the gift of God. Since salvation is in fact CHRIST HIMSELF, Christ is the gift of God to those who believe on Him. His name Yeshua (YAH + SHUA) = GOD [IS] OUR SALVATION.

@BeyondET Well, they might have meant something like...the privilege of suffering shame and loss for Him...(or something similar...)
Well the OP might of heard one person say cross is a gift but it certainly isn't widely taught or even said. I don't know where the OP got that from I'm going to ask though

Where did you hear that from the cross is a gift? You said some Christians what Christians?

Well, I don't know about that; ppl express themselves in an individual way; and it may be that the reference was generally to the privilege of serving and suffering for the Lord.

(But I don't know.)
The proof is in the pudding :)
