The way I understand it is this way.
If it is in the OT you will be able to find a similarity in the NT.
If it is in the NT you will be able to find a similarity in the OT.
So far the giants I see in the NT are Pilate, Herod, even though Herod was just a Governor..
Caesar.. these be the "giants" in the NT.
And then in Acts I think Paul calls some of the Apostles.. pillars.. Pillars are pretty tall no?

It is specifically about the giant's physical appearance, which is the main reason why God brought the flood of Noah's day. The wickedness of that day was only a by-product that happened because of that giant-hybrid race.

Because Gen.6 points to the giants as "men of renown", which means men of the name, of the legend, i.e., ancient mythology, they knocked God's Plan of Salvation out of balance, because people began worshiping them as gods, as the mythologies point to their having supernatural powers on earth in addition to their being titans.

1 John 3:2 is about the body of the future world to come when Jesus returns. It is a "spiritual body" according to Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 15. He also called it the "image of the heavenly". And he gave a definite that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, neither does corruption inherit incorruption.

The term "sons of God" regarding Christ's servants is about that future state of the "image of the heavenly". When Jesus comes, those in Christ that have died will be resurrected to that image, and so will those of the resurrection of damnation on that same day, and those us still alive will be changed to that image. All... will be in that type of body after Jesus returns.

The idea that we get a new flesh body is a Jewish fable. (there you go @Ziggy, there's an example for you.)

Some of the Jews believed in the theory of reincarnation. Don't you recall Jesus' question about who 'they' say He is? (Matthew 16:13-14; Luke 9:19).
