Why are you now tempting me to boast?
Why are you thinking to chasten me, if you believe what you just wrote?
Do you understand how the unnamed prophet and also Adam and the sabbaths and the feast of unleavened bread are speaking of Christ and He is fulfilling those types and shadows formerly set forth when He allows Satan to test Him in the wilderness?
Have you repented of trying to stop me from studying the Bible and helping others to understand it?
OK post, I reviewed my posts on the matter and looked up the exact definition of boasting and found that I wasn't boasting. The real question is why don't you understand what boasting is. See the definition below. It includes excessive pride and self satisfaction. Why don't you prove your point by explaining to me how I had excessive pride and self satisfaction in my own achievements, possession or abilities for God visiting me and blessing me with prophecies. I would understand that I was boasting if I had said that I made myself righteous enough to receive these things of God, which I didn't, but had I chastened another member saying I was righteous enough to chastise them (let he who is without sin cast the first stone) then I would understand your statement.

I was boasting of God's glory with one exception. I did say I may have more authority than the RCC since I receive direct communication with God and I cannot confirm that they do. So then @post what exactly are you insinuating? How is it you feel they have more authority. If I was simply stating fact and truth, then that doesn't mean I'm boasting. Boasting again is excessive pride and self satisfaction about one's achievements, possessions or abilities. Or maybe you feel you know my heart and thoughts? So you can discern what I had in them as some sort of excessive pride and self satisfaction. Then you are in error.

@post please don't make up your own definition of boast. I can boast in God's achievements either which way. But excessive is not the definition of boasting, it was excessive pride or excessive self satisfaction.
Okay...either back this accusation up with my exact words telling you to stop studying the Bible or be exposed as a false accuser of the brethren.
And be prepared for these kind of false accusations to be reported and see where it goes.

@Heart2Soul was right. You're mocking my self authority with Christ to be my own church if I so choose and to be my own authority under Christ. Which is something we should all do so that we don't get deceived by a false church. Praise has a definition also. It is express warm approval or admiration of. Neither of which I was feeling, you appear to think you know my thoughts and feelings, but you keep getting it wrong. I simply stated facts and truth, not boasting and not praising myself.

@Heart2Soul Abstinence or moderation are excellent, but sometimes Fundamentalists do tie themselves into knots to try to "prove" that it wasn't into wine that the Lord at Cana turned the water.
Yes I remember the pastor trying to explain this saying it wasn't wine like the kind with alcohol but then stumble when explaining the rest of the story about them being well drunk before receiving the best wine.

Telling me not to compare Christ to the people in the OT who are pictures of Him, when He told us to study those people precisely because they are comparable shadows of Him, is absolutely tantamount to you discouraging me from studying the Bible.
The problem here is that you're being petty and personal about it instead of recognizing and admitting that you didn't even know that is what studying the Bible is, and until I brought it up it had never even crossed your mind that 1Kings 13 and 2 Kings 23 are a together a picture of Jesus Christ!
Why do you think I started a whole thread about 'what is Bible study?' do you think it's because I don't know? It's to equip the Saints! Most of the church today has no idea how to read the OT - who is teaching them?? - they don't look for Christ in it at all! And that's the attitude you replied to me with, dismissing the typology of Him in it like it was something disrespectful! I don't hold that against you, but I don't ignore it; it's something you apparently were, like so many people in our age, ignorant of.
And now you'd rather try to get me kicked off the forum than look into the real points in this little discussion the 3 of us are having:
- We should not boast in gifts
- Christ is the authority of the church, not 'each of us independently' and not the papacy
- The OT is a testimony of Christ, according to Christ Himself, and He Himself commands us to study it with that in mind, looking for Him in it, finding comparisons to Him and His life and work in the things written

We have our own minds and use them to discern. So in fact I am in charge of my own house similar to being my own church with full authority as head of the house. I also reserve Jesus to be my leader.
Please remember you were asserting that the RCC had more authority than me in my own house, yet they have not houses of their own:

“(For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)”
The scriptures appear to spell out that a pastor should have a family of their own. I've seen this repeatedly in scripture.

Thank you for respecting that. Now regarding the RCC, I am concerned that the Pope us currently supporting gay marriage. I've seen a few statements from people concerning that, and I found a picture with a rainbow emblum on him. I know that the official stance is not supporting homosexuality.
So what do you mean by apostate Vatican 2? What does that mean?
