People talk about "mountain top experiences", often with the subsequent idea that we will end up sliding back into the flatland.

Does that have to happen?

I don't think so.

I think our faith is enough live on that mountaintop.

Romans 5:1-2 "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

The grace in which we stand is accessed by faith in Jesus, just like our salvation. Why would we not always stand if we always trust?

I think it comes from the experience Peter, James and John had with Jesus when He was transfigured.
It's "christianese" for fresh revelation, or experience which changes us.

So I have to say...from the mid 60's until now, I have had my fair share, and maybe some other people's share too! :)

But, I agree, we don't 'have to'..my husband plod along in faith, he has never been one for receiving many times of 'spiritual encounters'.

Even with Abraham...God did not 'visit' him every day...
During his life we are told of the times God spoke to Him or visited him.

Now, on the other hand, should we expect to see or hear from God regularly? Yes. After all, we are in a relationship with Him.
It would be a strange relationship if we did not talk together and hear what each was saying.

A walk of High's and Low's is not good either really. ( especially the lows ha! )

But our life is always .. " Times and Seasons".

That's my blurb.
