It is so easy for us to see other people's sins as being very much worse than our own.
Those who are most hostile towards Trump do so because of personal dislike. That does not seem like a very Christian way to evaluate a president.
A better way would be to ask whether his policies are good for the country, especially as to how these policies allow Christian faith to thrive, unimpeded by evil ideologies.
If they got to the root cause?
It is because of a suppressed personal dislike of themselves!
Teaching of sound doctrine showing us who we are in Christ would put an end to the dislike people carry within themselves, constantly looking for a place to dump it.

DAvid was an adulterer. However if God grants mercy then DAvid had mercy. That is not a license for anyone to expect mercy.
Let me say this. I like Trump. I voted for him 3 times. I think he is a president that approaches the greatness of Reagan. but his character is very lacking. I would never vote for him as a Pastor, butr as a president? Absolutely.
