Wait a second here.We agree that we have have to repent before we receive God's freely given Grace and the forgiveness of our sins. If the unforgivable sin was merely those that refused God and mocked Christ, what about Paul? Wouldn't God have had to bend the rules for him considering he not only mocked but killed anyone that followed Christ?What I am trying to get it at here is that the unforgivable sin is not just refusing to be saved...we have to believe on Christ and the Holy Spirit is conditional with that:John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Titus 3:5
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
The passage in Luke contains the entire key to understanding the unforgivable sin:Luke 12:11-12
And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say: For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.
Verse 13 then moves on to another in the company asking a question.This is confirmed elsewhere:Luke 21:12-15
But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake. And it shall turn to you for a testimony. Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
Mark 13:11
But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
