Waiting on him

Matthew 24:14 KJV@Waiting on him I would see it in John 16 as being the tribulation principle that is always there; remembering also that the Lord has overcome the world.
Whereas the wording in Matthew 24 seems to relate to a unique, future event, v. 21: " For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be."
[14] And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Colossians 1:23 KJV
[23] If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
This has already taken place. I believe to teach any differently, is to insight fear.
