i've seen more useful expositions of "three" in Scripture but this is also intrinsic to "witnesses."

so, not saying i have complete understanding here yet myself, but generally speaking we are created in three parts, one can see this expressed in "spirit, soul, body" or "heart, mind, and gut." This is surely a better starting point for understanding what the "two dead witnesses in the streets" are.
