From what I see people on the forum claiming to be christians are having a problem turning the other cheek, there are arguments and strifes all over, instead of building each other up in meekness we are having problems bearing burdens and looking past things.. Next time you see some contetion building, or before it can even build try swallow your pride, let some things slide and turn the cheek.

Times like this are exactly why the Messiah said this:

[bible=Luke 6:42]
How can you say to your brother, 'Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye,' when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother's eye.
[/bible]

I mean this as nicely as possible, but sometimes there is a reason the same faces end up in the same situation time again. I mean this phrase towards no one in particular in this instance, but it is something to keep in mind. God's too busy and too great to need to "win" (by the earthly perspective) every little spat and doctrinal dotting of the "i" each day. The above verse means rather clearly to be inward-looking when it comes to issues and maybe think twice about the snide remark.

I've never seen anyone (even in the movies) hit the floor after a slap or two on the cheek.

Again, no one in particular was the butt of that remark, I promise. We're all guilty of messing that aspect at times. My point is let's all take a look at us first. We tend to pull the trigger on the other person not realizing we launched the first rock at the glass house.

LeBron James stops a game in Detroit to tell a Heckler to stop insulting his mother... In which I believe that security had every right to escort that man from the game had he continued. In which I must cry along with Lebron James...

"I don't care what you say to me. I don't give a [expletive] what you say," James said to the fan. "But don't be disrespectful."

Turning the other cheek usually feels like the wrong thing to do because of our ego and pride... but how we end up feeling in the end testifies that once again even though our perception might have said different... Jesus was and always IS right...

How many times do I have to disobey Jesus and suffer the repercussions before I finally learn my lesson that He's always right? Can't believe we've been doubting God's Word since the garden and even though we've suffered so many things we're still stupid enough to think, "Well maybe this time God's wrong and our perception is right"

Thank our Father for making a way... thank the Lord for being our righteousness... without Him we'd be hopeless...
