Lost? What does that mean? I don't think you have a clue. Do you even have a Bible? We can't see you Jack the hole you have dug is so deep you're lost.
All you have shown from these texts is a lack of understanding. You claim, “I follow Jesus,” yet reveal no real grasp of who or what you are following. Your words are mere inferences, foolishly made, and your behavior reflects the same. How, then, are we to take you seriously?Lost? What does that mean? I don't think you have a clue. No one does and when you are rebuked respectfully as @ScottA did - you totally ignore him...and he follows your beliefs.
When I say you are a hopeless case you exemplify its meaning.
Are you calling me a fool? Tell the truth now. lolIf you studied the Bible’s description of a fool, how they speak and behave, you would see that you fit it perfectly.
Do you understand this, Jack?
Because if you don’t, there is a serious gap between your mindset and reality.
When you are a sinner and you die...In Scripture, fire often symbolizes complete destruction rather than eternal torment. Consider these examples:
These examples consistently show fire as a means of judgment and destruction, not as a tool for eternal, conscious torment.
- Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by fire and brimstone and are described as "an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire" (Jude 7; cf. Gen. 19:24). Yet Scripture confirms that these cities were overthrown in an instant (Lam. 4:6) and reduced to ashes (2 Pet. 2:6; cf. Deut. 29:23).
- Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, were "devoured" by fire from the LORD for their transgression and died instantly (Lev. 10:1-2).
- Fire from the LORD "consumed" the 250 men who illegally offered incense during the rebellion of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram (Num. 16:35).
- Fire came down from God out of heaven and "consumed" the messengers of the king of Samaria during Elijah’s time (2 Kings 1:10).
All we can do is educate!
The silence is deafening! lolAre you calling me a fool? Tell the truth now. lol
The fire represents the judgment of sin. While it has at times been literal throughout history, it is now often used metaphorically to signify future judgment. This does not mean the earth will never experience physical fire again, but there is no designated place of eternal fiery torment. Such ideas stem from unbridled imagination, lacking the guidance of Scripture. When you are a sinner and you die...
Now what happens to the sin when you are born again?
Is it a slow drawn out process or are all your sins forgiven spontaneously upon acceptance?
What if you claim to be born again and yet remain in sin?
What does it mean to baptised with fire?
Jhn 3:18
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Rom 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
salted with fire...
Mar 9:49
For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.
wood stubble hay...
1Co 3:13
Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
so many paths.... fire, judgment, sin, condemnation.
I believe the fire is conviction of sin. And you live with guilt until you ask for forgiveness.
Just thinking...

Represents? You can tell when Satan attacks the Bible! LOL! Come on Hider. Quote THE FIRE that Jesus warned you about several times? Have you ever read a Bible? The fire represents the judgment of sin. While it has at times been literal throughout history, it is now often used metaphorically to signify future judgment. Do you know whats interesting about the account of Nabal?
Nabal is described as harsh, foolish, and surly, and while others interact with him, like David sending messengers there is no record of anyone genuinely reasoning with or speaking to him in a conciliatory way. His name itself, meaning “fool,” underscores his intractable character.
It's an incredible reality for some!
Give it a shot. No doubt it will be YOUR opinion, not the Bible! Can you show?
But how?
Good post JBL!‘By reading and meditating on God’s word, and coming into agreement with what the Spirit reveals to us each day.
Dear JLB,‘This thread is about parables, not Calvinist nonsense.
Stay on topic.
You have no right to judge what you do not understand.
In the end, all who have died in Adam will be made alive in Christ. This is true Gospel of Christ.
Dear JLB,‘I understand that the thread topic was parables, and this post of yours contains no parables.
as far as the rest of your post you seem to have the idea that if Christ doesn’t save us the way He appeared to Paul then our salvation is not somehow legitimate.
I disagree.
Each person must hear and believe the Gospel to be saved.
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
Dear JLB,‘That’s Universalism.
False doctrine.
Christian universalism is a school of Christian theology focused around the doctrine of universal reconciliation – the view that all human beings will ultimately be saved and restored to a right relationshipwith God. "Christian universalism" and "the belief or hope in the universal reconciliation through Christ" can be understood as synonyms.[1]
