Once in a while it's a good idea to just sit still and close your eyes, and shut out the world and all its noise and clamor. That is not what's real, as appealing as it might look to us when our eyes are open and taking it all in.
Amen and Amen! In the past year or so, when I began to obey 2 Cor 10:4-5, I learned what the true divine power given us by Jesus is all about: the power to quiet our minds and still our hearts from unnecessary rubbish of vain thoughts and imaginations that come from the devil and the world.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
Be still, and know that I am God.
I now practice what I call the still time, or times of stillness. We can with power and exercise of faith truly rid our minds of any thoughts whatsoever, and I have learned how it is to be a little child again with clear conscience and mind, so that whatsoever we look out upon is simply what it is. All things become new and interesting again. (Depending on what we are looking at and hearing of course)
The world can meditate for peace, but we can have it perfectly at any time anywhere no matter is going on, by the power of Christ within us, the hope of glory.
And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
If the winds can obey Him, then so can we by His faith.
We live in a body that is wonderfully made by God. No matter what age you are, dear reader, you are slowly dying. That is, your body is slowly dying.
Amen and amen again! Where have you been? I mistakenly went to this part of the site, and I am more than glad I have, and will be resturning to it more often now.
Man's flesh was and is still being created mortal, which is also good, and there is nothing sinful about it.
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
BUT your soul (your spirit) can not cease to exist. You are your soul, not your body. We spend far more time than we should attending to the health and beauty of the body and far too little time attending to the health and beauty of our souls (especially since our souls will live forever, for we are created in the image of God, the Bible tells us). AND God IS. Time does not have anything to do with Him. He IS Eternal; He never began, and He will never end, nor will He ever change.Your body will lie in a coffin, as will mine. But "we" (our souls) won't stay in the coffin. We must get rid of this corrupt body and inherit the incorruptible body God has prepared already for us who believe in His Son and His saving act on the Cross. In first Corinthians 15:53-55, God's Word tells us, "For this persihable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written, 'Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?' "No human being will ever cease to exist. A person will live either in eternal happiness with God in heaven or suffer internal torment in Hell with Satan and his evil devils.waynemlj
Halleluiah! Both and angels and man, and only angels and man are created spiritual everlasting beings with power of God: to think, intend, and imagine in our hearts and minds, whether for good or evil.
We will either awake to everlasting joy in the presence of the Lord, or contempt and shame apart from Him.
And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame
and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
Natural man doesn't believe any God nor things of the Spirit, and carnal minded religions, including christian, philosophies, and mysticism only see an eternal Spirit, but not everlastingly created spirits of angels and souls of men and women.
I'll be keeping my eye on you and look for more true and good things of Scripture.
