Stuff was literal/physical for those under the Old Covenant. The Kingdom of GOD is Spiritual. The OT became symbolic for us to use as a reference and understand The Interpretations of Scripture. Perhaps the "why" is easier to answer than the "when", why will this world end, it will end to wipe out the morass of sin and corruption we have created and to pass judgement on us all, as to when this world will end, it will end when Gods purposes have been fulfilled, and ive given up trying to figure them out, if it was left to me i'd have ended this man made Hell a long time ago, but until God makes that decision i'll continue to try to bring the Light of His Love and Compassion into this Broken world and use my faith to give me the Hope and the Strength to continue that struggle, for what more are we called to do than "To act Justly, to love Mercy and to walk humbly with our God".

People performing repeated willful sin are searing their conscience because doing something over and over again makes them accustomed to it!
They think they won against the Voice telling them to stop ...they won a ticket to flames!
They get The Grieving to stop ...that's what a dead spirit ...dead conscience is.

Nah, just because the Gog/Magog prophecy is in The Old Testament Book of Ezekiel does NOT mean it is already history. To think so is just silly, showing how out of touch some can be with what God's written Word reveals.

Why would Apostle Peter command us to be mindful of what is written in the OT Books of God's prophets? Duh... because there's still much prophesy written in those OT Books not yet fulfilled today! Ezekiel 38 & 39 is definitely one of them.

God's written Word is ALWAYS literal. Allegory, metaphor, analogy, parable, proverbs, idioms, expressions... and the like are ALWAYS about a Truth in His Word. Those are simply 'tools' He uses at times to convey His Truths.

But SOME men abuse those tools, instead applying them in ways that CHANGE God's meanings. This is easy to discover when philosophers abuse His Holy Writ, simply because God provided so many parallel examples spread out in various Books of His Word instead of just in one place.

And this is why those 'philosophers' who abuse God's Word are so funny, because any true Bible student that has done their homework in all of God's Word is familiar with those many parallel Scripture examples God provided in His Word, and thus it becomes easy when philosophers try to change/modify God's Truth in one place. All the other Scripture examples immediately show the philosopher's falseness!

Interesting...but if we venture off into every possibility, cause, and detail, we miss the forest for the trees.

The point is complete in the knowledge that the fall has in fact come since the beginning. And do you not think it clever that the fallen have children who would be allowed to show their own linage--clever of Satan, that we should look at those trees and not the forest?

So...I submit, that better than this, is to ask why the words are even there--that it is because the scriptures not only tell the story of good and those who love God, but also of evil and those who love their own father the devil. Shall we then entertain them--party together? No, but we should make our study brief, that we should not mingle with such.

Now, it is true that we have been placed in this world and that even Jesus mixed with sinners. But His intent is clear. As for those who would have us believe that equal time should be given to what is evil--I would say, Yes, certainly, that evil may be exposed and judged. The caution then, is that we not be fascinated or touched by their tears. For our tears are to God--but theirs are not, but are a come-on from their father that his time should be extended while we chat.

The fact... that you cannot answer my question about the 2 Kings 20 event of God moving the sun backwards ten degrees reveals you have NO INTENTION of staying with what is ACTUALLY WRITTEN in God's Word, but instead have your own agenda to DECEIVE any idiot that takes time to listen to and believe you.

So i think we are in the time of satan being loosed. hyper grace is satan's final deception on the world. Catholics were evil, in that, you could sin if you payed them and repeatedly confessed. hyper grace is different, they don't even bother confessing, they just say they are automatically Covered in His Blood. No need to Obey anything. No need to Enter The Kingdom. No need to deny yourself and pick up your cross. No need to lift up The Son of Man.
