... So where so many theories work using one methodology, for one solution, I would observe that the TRUE solution has multiple confirmations. So please allow the following respective solutions:
1. "no man can buy or sell"
2. "without the mark"
3. "of the beast"
But is this all? -- No, there's more ...
So if the #1 "buy or sell" has another association beyond the "computer", then one might consider the ever present barcode.
Both the Uniform Product Code (UPC) and the European Article Numbering (EAN) use binary associated lines for product numbering. But these assignments do not work without reference (registration) points. Thus one might consider that these codes might have registration points in the front, in the middle, and at the end of the product number. And SURPRISE, binary uses the number "6" for the registration points, because in binary, errors are induced with single bit sequences, with alternating bit sequences, and with all "on" bit sequences. And where large bits of data are more expensive to process than smaller bits of data, engineers select the smallest sequence with provides two "on's" and one "off", -- thus the number "6" in the beginning, middle, and end of each and every UPC and EAN barcode.
So when anyone proposes a one methodology with one solution to the Revelation 13 "666", walk away. It's much more interwoven with multiple confirmations on many levels. And there may be MORE which I haven't considered but they should follow these conventions, even to the point of the binary number "7" being "111", which appears to match the Trinity. :)
