If you can find one that has a literal translation of "Kecharitomene" literally - that would be something.

As I TRIED to explain to you, but was unsuccessful - “Hail, completely, perfectly, enduringly endowed with grace, which is a perfect passive participle, indicating a completed action with a PERMANENT result” would have been silly.

You REALLY need to do some homework . . .
IOW, you are proclaiming yourself to be such a Greek Language expert that you know more than all of our English Bible translators. I'd really like to know how many English Bibles agree with you. With all your self professed wisdom you should know this.

Amen!

Well, we are both sinners, but I'm a Bible believer.
So's the Pope.
The difference is that HE believe when the Bible says that Christ's Church is our final Earthly Authority (Matt. 16:18-19, Matt. 18:15-18, Luke 10:16, John 16:12-15, John 20:21-23).

Why don't YOU??

Oh he believes Mary is a sinner too. Good.

If you don't understand what I explained to you in post #182 - you'r a LOT more dim-witted than I gave you credit for . . .
How could a very simple request be so difficult for such a self professed master of the Greek Language like you?

I'll wait here for your answer . . .

I have 37 English Bibles that don't agree with you. How are you qualified to say they are wrong?

You can't even find one English Bible that agrees with you?
And YOU can't seem to tell me how to translate Kecharitomene without shortening the definition of:
completely, perfectly, enduringly endowed with grace, which is a perfect passive participle, indicating a completed action with a PERMANENT result”

WHY is that?

Actually, I made a mistake. I have 38 English Bibles that say you're wrong, not 37.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV)
21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
1 Peter 2:22 (NKJV)
22 "Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth";
1 John 3:5 (NKJV)
5 And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin.
Hebrews 4:15 (NKJV)
15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
Hebrews 7:26-27 (NKJV)
26 For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens;
27 who does not need daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the people's, for this He did once for all when He offered up Himself.

Not even one mention that Mary was sinless!

I'm not surprised my dim-witted friend.
Kecharitomene is a GREEK word - and it is found in my GREEK Bible.

I'm sure you have 38 comic books as well down there in mommy's basement . . .
I have over 38 Christian Bibles. You compare them to comic books? How long do you plan to spend in "Purgatory"? "Purgatory" has no exit. It's a Satanic trap.

No my Calvinoid brother, it's your REFUSAL TO COMPREHEND purgatory, your twisted concept of purgatory is a Satanic trap. Why don't you blame Judaism for the origins of the teaching??? The false antinomian version of "faith alone" was INVENTED to eliminate purgatory by a man who was mentally ill, despised the Jews, and was angry at the pope. I won't post the vile quotes that Luther said about Jews, it would only offend my brother Lutherans. Luther's anti-Semitism has carried over into Protestant theology. Quibbling over what books are inspired is a smokescreen to cover up the painful truth that anti-purgatory Protestants have disowned their elder brother.

No purgatory in the Bible. Hell fire is eternal.

Soooooo, you actually believe that the more Bibles you have makes you a "better" Christian?
Can you show me where the Bible says that?

And by the way - I didn't "compare" the bible to comic books - I just figured that's where your maturity level was, given our conversation . . .

Hell has nothing to do with Purgatory - so why bring that up?
Purgatory is for those who are going to Heaven - not Hell.

I'm your Huckleberry!

You do not display what a Perfect Tense in the Greek implies correctly. Concerning something that is written in time, the Perfect Tense indicates an action with continuing results... up to the point the statement is made. It would have to be in the Future Tense to continue beyond that particular statement. I could say that Donald trump is a Billionaire in the perfect tense. In the past he made a Billion dollars, and has a Billion dollars today. Yet I cannot say that he will never be less than a Billionaire, or he will always be a Billionaire based upon the Perfect Tense.

Concerning passages that speak of the present work of God in sanctification in Scripture, the Perfect Tense would speak to what He has done in the past continues up to the Present. It does not mean that someone who was effected by God's grace always permanently continues, but that God's work does.

Purgatory 1 cor 3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
