I haven't seen even one Scripture that comes close to saying Mary was sinless. Not a one!

im not an apostle. Jesus Christ continues His ministry in His church thru His apostles and their successors with the same mission power and authority of Christ! Jn 20:21-23

The Apostles were Jews!

Anyone has the Authority to speak the Word of God in Truth... and that Includes Clerics!

ANY when any man, cleric does not...?
Do you continue listening? Do as they do?

Not with the authority of Christ and the promises of the Holy Spirit! Only Peter, the apostles, and their successors!

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free person, there is not male and female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

All are welcome to come to the wedding feast of the Lamb of God!

Peace be with you!

Romans 3:1-2 (NKJV)
1 What advantage then has the Jew, or what is the profit of circumcision? 2 Much in every way! Chiefly because to them were committed the oracles of God.

Thank you Philip...
The Disciples "were" Jews...
The Apostals "were" Jews...
What Becomes ...one in Christ, "is" ongoing.
You may have Noticed...a Whole lot of Jews, are Not yet in Christ.

More ignorance.
The Homily/Sermon of the Mass is based on the 3 Scripture readings during the Liturgy of the Word.

Sermons aren't meant to tackle every individual's "personal issues". they are meant to edify the Body as a whole.
If further counseling is needed, there is personal spiritual direction available in most every Catholic AND Protestant church.

Uh huh. Can't you read? I just said the same thing!

virgin worship, a la Athena, predates Christianity even i guess
the virgin will be with child thus has a possible double-meaning
It's no great wonder that it was incorporated into Roman Mithraist "Christianity"
God and Jesus held Mary in very high regard. They loved, respected and honored her.

Do you?

Yes, He did.
That's why He said to the First Bishops of His Church:

Matt. 18:18
Amen, I say to you, WHATEVER YOU BIND on earth shall be bound in heaven, and WHATEVER YOU LOOSE on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Luke 10:16
Whoever listens to YOU listens to ME. Whoever rejects YOU rejects ME. And whoever rejects ME rejects the ONE who sent ME."

John 20:23
Whose sins YOU FORGIVE are forgiven them, and whose sins YOU RETAIN are retained.”

That's CHRIST'S AUTHORITY . . .
And to piggy back onto those great verses that destroy @Taken theory we have 1 Timothy 5:17 and Hebrews 13:17.

how convenient is that @Taken ??

Luke 1:28.
I've posted it several times already.
I guess I missed them. Help me out. Luke 1:28 in no way says nor implies that Mary was sinless.

Luke 1:28 (NKJV)
28 And having come in, the angel said to her, "Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!"

Time for a Bible and Language lesson . . .

First of all - I HATE to break this to you - but the Bible wasn't written in English. Nope - not even "King James" English.
The NT was written in Koine Greek.

The Greek word "Kecharitomene" that Luke used in his Gospel (v.1:28), is the perfect passive participle, indicates a completed action with a permanent result. It translates, completely, perfectly, enduringly endowed with grace.”
Kecharitomene is not a mere description here. It is used as a title – a name.

The Angel didn’t say, “Hail Mary, full of grace.”
He said, "Hail, Kecharitomene.”

People in Heaven are in this state - but not people on earth.
Mary is the ONLY one in ALL of Scripture who is given this title.

YOUR
turn . . .

Are all you Catholics self professed Greek Language experts? I thought that was mainly JW's. Stop trying to rewrite the Christian Bible.

That's what I thought.
When you can't refute the original language - your automatic switch goes to ad hominem attack.

Come back when you're prepared to discuss Luke 1:28 intelligently . . .

Who gave you the authority to rewrite our Bible, the Pope?

"REwrite"??

Who is "rewriting" anything? I'm discussing the language is was actually written in.
If you can't deal with that - don't blame ME for your ignorance . . .

You are indeed trying to rewrite our Bible. What are your credentials? None maybe?
