Where is the New Jerusalem?

Brother! Some of you guy's Bible teachers must have been high on something. LOL

You seriously think that the New Jerusalem is just a joke? Why don't you take some time to study its significance for eternity?

So it has 8 corners with 12 foundations floats above the earth but is anchored to the earth. Sounds simple

Who says it is *anchored to the earth*? If the New Jerusalem gives light to the earth, then it is essentially a heavenly body.

In more and more threads we are seeing people claiming the New the current Jerusalem is on this earth. Some saying it is just the current Jerusalem resurrected, glorified or just renovated.

Others try to turn it into a spiritual place, nothing physical.

So what does the Bible say?

Revelation 21

That eliminates it being on this earth and being the current Jerusalem.

Clearly states it is currently in heaven.

Remember, when Christ ascended he said he was going to prepare a place for us. Which currently eliminates it has always existed.

And the wedding supper of the Lamb eliminates the idea it is already occupied.


Future tense. Not a current reality.

We also see that because God and Christ will dwell with us there is no temple in the new Jerusalem. Why should there be when they are right there?

Again, this Earth is gone and all this is on the new earth.

Spirits do not first. They do not need that river water and fruit from the trees of life in the new Jerusalem.

Glorified saints will be flesh. Flesh can enjoy food and water. Spirits do not.

Second resurrection damned.

It means eternal separation from God, not annihilation. Eternity in the lake. No universal salvation.



A place of beauty we cannot begin to imagine.

The new earth has no sun and no moon. No night.

Gates forever open which I believe means we can enjoy and explore the universe.

No one has ever gone up to heaven but He Who came down from it

This remark should tell you that you have no idea about the New Jerusalem, which is constructed of pure TRANSPARENT heavenly gold, and remains a heavenly body to give light to the earth. And since Jesus said that in His Father's house are many mansions, it would be the total opposite of any mud city in the desert. In fact no one can really imagine the glory, beauty, and perfection of this city, WHICH GOD PERSONALLY CONSTRUCTED.

By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. Where did you ever get the idea the new earth was going to be a desert? Or that a 1400 mile on each side cube was going to be on a mountaintop?

The whole universe was created by the command of God, not a construction crew. What makes you think this is different?

It already exists in heaven and is ready to descend to the earth.

The new Jerusalem is not a house, it is a city.

Inside that city are many mansions. A mansion being a type of house.

I agree, while not so much today, a house also refers to a family or lineage.

Our bodies are called vessels and homes in the Bible.

We have a new home to look for there as well.

I really do find ludicrous, the "literalism" so many people here are chained to. In order for those measurements to be plotted-out by a man with a handheld measuring rod, it would have taken months and months and months to measure just the 1380 miles of one side... even if he could have figured out how in the world to reach the top of the "city" to measure it. LOL
