Yes, I do the same and go to three, until I was kicked out of one of them and now go to two. The one I was kicked out of was my childhood denomination that I left when I was 23 (I'm 79). I did not debate or even share doctrine with them, but they just couldn't accept a miracle I had just received that week as it had to do with jewelry; they don't wear jewelry, and thought it must have been the devil, not God.
my childhood denomination .......I am sorry that must of hurt.
Things like that can hurt for a lifetime.
Some of the Holy Ghost churches I go to can be a little like that. Females with long hair and dresses and no makeup or jewelry.....That is what is expected and prescribed but......women are their own and no makeup and no jewelry equals depression. So its mostly long hair and dresses.....
Most of the churches I go to know I am a Theologian so most do not debate with me and I look like my avatar, so few cross me. I prefer to laugh and have fun. In a few churches I help the youth minister(s). I have done everything from being a prop hand in plays or being one of people fanning the palm leaf at Yeshua during the play at Easter.
Professionally I am not a preach, I am a speaker......much more fun and less demanding. And I should say semi- professionally because I generally do not get paid for it.
In all the years I have been traveling around to churches, here in the states and Europe, I have only seen one person kicked out of a church.....and I did it. It is much better to talk to them....not good to be judge mental. Some preachers would like a congregation full of good-God loving people.....but guess what.....some are not there yet.....they are there to be good-God loving people. So it best to fellowship and show them what good God loving people look like.
Now for the time I could not follow my own advice. I was standing there minding my own business.....LOL. In walks this guy.....He had long hair and was wearing a black trench coat and makeup and he was holding a baby doll and treating it and talking to it like it was alive.
I was talking to the Youth pastor, and he had asked me how I make sure that my daughter's dates respect her?
(He had some concerns with that, with his own daughter.) And I said, Clean the Tompson machine gun when he comes to pick her up. One of the ladies that I knew gave me a dirty look. She knew I could be a little rowdy sometimes.
Well anyway, this guy goes downstairs with the kids. (Children's Sunday School) In the middle of the service this lady I knew grabbed me and said this guy was in the little girl's bathroom. I went downstairs and went into the girl's bathroom, grabbed him by the hair and drug him out into the parking lot. His family followed. I turned ready to confront them and one of them said, He has a mental illness. I replied, Then you better keep tabs on him.
Of course later I got a lecture on being violent. But the lady knew what I would do and she came to me. Later the Pastor talked to me and said, Maybe you should have handled that differently. The Pastor was a friend of mine and I patted him shoulder and said, That is your job. But now he knows for sure that he did wrong.
And later I considered that maybe I could have handled it differently.
