The law given to Moses was the national legal law, applicable to everyone. You are truly stating what is false.

You will never win this debate because you are against what God Almighty has ordained by his law and his prophets.

So who was in charge of the Law? The Sanhedrin. who fed the poor? the people. simple. You keep trying to say some gov't is suppose too. You are the false one. The Sanhedrin did not say bring me the food and we will distribute it. It was the people that fed the poor. How many times do you have to hear it. It was up to the people, not the Gov't. God commanded the people to feed the poor.

Paul's letter to Titus, for example, repeatedly encourages followers of Jesus to do "good works", as an example to the rest of their community. Paul himself told James "this very thing is on my heart", to help the poor and Paul carried the purse for the poor. You are badly mistaken.

There is no rational difference between the Hebrews leaving 10% of their fields unharvested, so that immigrants and the poor would have food to eat and, modern U.S. citizens being taxed to help immigrants and the poor. NO DIFFERENCE WHATSOEVER. Both require financial sacrifice on a national level.
